Since refurbishment I have changed my review from 4 stars last year to 5 stars. Staff seem to remain calmer during stressful (& busy) times now.
Visited today, typical Uber delivery driver impeding my path as if he was in the queue, then decides to exit and continue his phone call outside after about 5 minutes. I can understand him coming in from the cold but why not stand somewhere other than the queue to order ?
Part of my order was for a 10 piece Family Feast. Apologetically I was politely informed that due to a late delivery there wasn't enough chicken and it would be a 25 - 30 minute wait for the chicken, or would I like a 6-piece ? I said okay, but then whilst placing the rest of my order was told that they couldn't even do that, would I like to wait ?
I politely said no. My daughter-in-law had already been served, we had only been separated by the obnoxious Uber driver and her & my son's food would be cold. I said I will take her home with her hot food and maybe return. I then thought at least I could now get a 10-piece so maybe I should return. I informed the member of staff and paid for the 6-piece Family Feast, a large popcorn, 8 hot wings, 2 supercharger sauces, 2 Zinger burgers and a Tower Burger (+extra hash brown). This was already recorded on the till and when I asked for the 10-piece to be re-instated he magnanimously said he wouldn't charge me the difference as a goodwill gesture and apologised again for the delay (also for the behaviour of the Uber driver). I duly returned for my order and also purchased 8 cookies and a drink. At no point did anyone lose their temper, or even raise their voice.
Things sometimes go wrong in life but this member of staff acted commendably. What could have been a volatile situation was turned into a positive experience due to his actions.

Read moreDirty place, dirty kitchen, I cannot understand how the food hygene authority authorises these cowboys to serve food to the public, when I came to the counter they were all turned around and they were laughing watching videos on the phone, I had to call them multiple times to get their attention; plus I could barely understand them and they could barely understand me, the people at the COUNTER should have at least a minimum knowledge of English. If that wasn't enough they got my order wrong and the chicken tasted like, wait, did it even taste of something? I don't think so. This is by far the worst KFC I have ever been to. Will never come back unless something is done to fix the place, you should hire a cleaner and take away that naughty smile you have on your faces while you speak to customers that is so...
Read moreI would give this 5 stars but the disabled toilet facilities are a let down. The toilet is way too low for a "disabled toilet" and really should be looked into. Anyway apart from that one negative comment, here's the good stuff. I came in Friday with some service users I support (adults with disabilities). We received excellent service from the staff, the staff brought our meals out on individual trays to help us, also the door was constantly doing the "alarm noise" when someone opened the door. This was really making one service user agitated. However, the staff saw this and helped solve the problem by turning it off while we was there and keeping the door open. Absolutely fantastic!!
