What a hidden gem of a Japanese style sushi bar in the heart of hatch end high street!!! Visiting on a Saturday night, i wasn’t sure how busy it would be so we booked ahead and on arrival there were probably only 4 tables free, surprisingly busy but still not a loud place. Not being a big sushi aficionado Alina, our waitress, was great in helping us pock what to get and honest too. We ordered a good selection of dishes from the menu (9 in total) as there was so much we wanted to try. I have to say my favourites were the black cod rolls, super spider rolls and chicken karaage bites. We also really liked the wakame and cucumber salad and Japanese pickles as they served as perfect palette cleansers between rolls. Personally i found the prawn tempura futomaki a little bland but Alina was happy to get us all the sauces in the house to jazz that up too. The place is laid out in a simple, clean style. They have a sushi bar so you’re able to sit there and watch your food being made with the friendly chefs and also see the fresh fish on display too. Nice touch i felt which brings a nice flare to the meal especially if you go there on your own. Table seating is intimate, but not too cramped, so we had a little banter with the couple sitting next to us during our visit. I liked the music being played, you can hear it but it’s not loud so we chatted the night away and never felt rushed to finish. If there was one thing id change its only that they should stay open later as they close doors at 9.30 and people were still walking in just before to grab dinner. Highly recommended and ill be going back again

We went to Kiyoto Sushi Hatch End for my son's 7th birthday, he loves sushi and all the food we tried was amazing. There are lots of vegetarian choices available. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Advice to book a table before going. A great sushi experience 😋

5 star in all areas! I have visited the Borehamwood branch of this restaurant several times and got takeaways too. I was therefore excited to try their new restaurant in Hatch End with all my family. We were greeted warmly by all staff as we entered a large, modern yet comfortable setting. I was glad to see the addition of Poke bowls, a new salad and a choice of desserts to the menu. We ordered our favourites, such as Dragon Rolls, Katsu Curry, rock shrimp tempura and they were their usual high standard of flavour and presentation. We also ordered the new dishes and once again were not disappointed. Can't recommend the chicken karaage enough and the sauce for the duck gyoza was addictive. We had the mochi and churros x2 for dessert! Our waiter was meticulous in that he read our order back to us and checked on us during our meal. Well done Kiyoto on joining Hatch Ends restaurants and making a fantastic addition to the high street. We will definitely be returning!

Starters came out quickly and they were delicious so we waited eagerly for our mains. Our mains took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive, with the ramen having no flavour at all. When it came to our bill, our server asked us where we were going to next and we were all quite upset and didn’t really answer. Upon this, the server joked that if we would have answered we would have gotten 50% off our bill. We were a little shocked by this. Then they inputted the full amount and asked if they could add a 10% service charge to the bill. At this point, realising that there was no insight into how inappropriate that comment was, I explained how long we waited for the food and the food still had no flavour. The server didn’t respond to this and just showed the card machine to pay the amount. We paid the amount and I then repeated if they could let the chef know about the food because we wouldn’t want others to have this experience, especially since this restaurant has such great reviews and maybe they were just having an off day. The server nodded their head and walked away. Quite disappointing but I hope this review helps prevent similar circumstances for others who pick the restaurant for a special occasion...
