Read moreThis is a great venue shame about the bar staff. Yesterday we had a performance here and myself & a band member went to get some coffees, as you do before your performance. When we asked the man behind the bar who was very rude and abrupt replied NO hot drinks only cold. when we asked again surprised as there was a coffee machine and cups right in front he rudely replied this is their policy and pointed to a really badly written small sign board in chalk at the back of the bar on the top of the door frame. when we asked if there is anywhere else we can get or order some hot drinks he went on to say that you can go to Morrisons next door (if you can call it that) or a local shop but you we were not allowed to bring the drinks back here to the Arts Centre and we would have to have them off the premises. My colleague must have spoken to the organisers who brought us 3 hot drinks from the same bar to the green room 10 min later. This bar staff guy really needs to first of all understand his role is not serving drinks but customer service. Whoever employed him needs to put him on a people skills course, or...
Read moreHow interesting...back in 1983 I used to go here when it was known as the Harrow College of Further Education and for some reason I was going down memory lane during the lockdown and I'd moved away from the area and never been back. So now looking at the posted photos from 50 miles away it certainly bought back memories. I have to say I achieved more at the college in a year than I ever did during my last 2 years at school. Don't know why, who ,where or when the college closed, can't seem to find much detail on inter web but its good to see that old building hadn't been demolished for money making planners. The 5 stars are for when it was a college in my time. Update..25/08/20 I have to say a big thank you to people that have been reading this post...there seems to be more photographs of my old college that have now been posted...which I'm pretty sure were limited before...but now I can see my old art building and the science block...and its all still as I...
