I'd give zero star if I could. I usually find most italian restaurants above average but this was so terrible that i had to leave review.
Ordered food based on a great review on here through just eat. Food was delivered on time so temperature wise it was good. Flavour wise, I had no clue what I was eating. Seafood spaghetti stank of not so fresh mussels. Asked for more parseley but it actually had not even a single sprinkle of parsley. Overall very dry and was lacking everything e.g. tomatoes, garlic, white wine and even salt and pepper. The little amount of sauce there was just tasted watered down. For one second I thought it was me who couldn't taste anything but the garlic bread I ordered as a side tasted alright so it couldn't have been me. My partner ordered spaghetti Argentinian which has lobster bisque, however it had no flavour at all again. Texture wise, both dish was overcooked. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if both pasta and sauce were precooked and they just mixed together and heated on the pan before it was packaged. Honestly, ready meal pasta from Tesco would've tasted better than this.
For 2 plastic takeaway container (not even full) of flavourless, overcooked pasta, below average arancini and garlic bread was nearly £50. I am really surprised how my experience was complete opposite of most people who left review here. Have they recently changed chef? Were they so busy that they failed to quality control? I don't know. But one thing for sure is that I would not order or return again and would recommend people to...
Read moreWell on the positive the waiter was fun and attentive but was unfortunately let down by the kitchen. The salad leaves albeit only a garnish were brown and off alongside the rocket garnish, the mozzarella wasn't buffalo on the bruschetta "it was a mistake". It happens I guess, twice though as we ordered two. The kids pizza although only £7 came looking like someone had hacked the edges with a pair of scissors, the pizza was not as previously stated by other reviews as authentic, grated mozzarella mix on pizza would get you chased out of Naples! The Frittura di Pesce was average for frozen squid, prawns and whitebait, the tartare was cheap store bought (if you can't make tartare just use Aioli). The reviews and recommendations warrented a completely different experience. Maybe we had an off day or maybe we have been spoilt with better nearer home.
We were told he had removed the bruschetta and discounted the other pizza, unfortunately after paying and getting out before we had to order mains we realised no discount was...
Read moreAn impressively good restaurant, just outside Twickenham village centre. The menu presented a good variety of meals (including dessert) and beverages. The meals where not the all-usual-old-UK-turist-italian style, but the kind of menu you may actually find in restaurant in Italy. The food was very tasty and the presentation amazing. We had Fettuccine Funghi e Speck, served wrapped in speck slices, Tagliatelle ai Gamberoni, Ravioli Ripieni di Asparagi and Parmigiana. All very good, abundant, but not so much so to avoid dessert after. A good choice of dessert, we tried the classical Tiramisu, the original Orange and Caramel Panna Cotta, the Lemon Tart and the Strudel. All made with very fresh ingredients, thy were delicious. The place is not immediately visible, but you can see it on Google. It is small, but absolutely worth it and not expensive. All in all, a surprisingly...
