Leytonstone Spice — Restaurant in London

After 5 loyal years of going there and being pleased with the service and the food I ordered a takeaway which arrived in time etc. However both Lamb dishes I had ordered had literally the smallest pieces of lamb and it was all sauce plus the quality was different. It was a rip off so much so that I took a photo of it in shock at the lack of meat. I didn't expect tonnes of meat but I felt they were taking the piss with what they had given us and I always order this dish and had done two weeks prior and it was fine.

I'm not a diva it's about respecting a long standing regular whom felt somethings gone wrong . I phoned the restaurant to say that there was hardly any meat and was basically given a lecture about how they serve there take away. Instead of saying sorry and after a rude vocal battle i was offered a replacement dish I declined. I never return there due to the rudeness like I was the problem not what they served. Reliable indian takeaway, have been coming pretty regularly, prices are good and the food is okay. it's in the category of takeaways where there are some dishes you should avoid and some that are really great. their korma and butter chicken didn't do much for me and were a little on the oily side but the passanda is great and seems to hit the flavour profile i wanted from those other dishes. bahjis are solid but pakora was bad. fish tikka is good chicken tikka is good. their dahl is very soupy, it's not terrible but you'd want a solid amount of bread or rice to have with it, i like the saag aloo not crazy about the mushroom bahji. if you're a curious type like me and interested in ordering the red sauce let me tell you it is a spicy red sauce suitable for a poppadom; i could take or leave it. i have still not tried much of the menu as it is quite extensive and will undoubtedly return for more when the...

Unfortunately Leytonstone Spice has lost new but very loyal customers due to the rudeness of the staff, especially because the food is pretty good, we find the best in the area, but this weekend, after ordering dinner on both Saturday AND Sunday, on the Sunday, after receiving our order, someone from the restaurant called my partner, shouting at him and accusing him of taking delivery of an expensive order which wasn't ours, which was simply not the case. The staff member was extremely rude and wouldn't listen to my partner at all at first. Finally, he seemed to understand that there was a mix up on their or the driver's part and a very pithy apology was issued over text message. Not good enough, I'm afraid. As I say, a shame as the food is good but customers don't deserve that kind of treatment, especially when they've chucked quite a bit of money over in the past...
