Lila Thai — Restaurant in London

Let's start by saying that Lila Thai was a restaurant we hadn't planned to visit, but because the place we booked was closed, we walked around the area and found Lila Thai.

We sat down, and the ambiance was great—cozy and family-friendly. The waiter was such a nice person, always striving to make our experience unique and unforgettable.

When the food arrived, we were surprised by how good it was, as we weren’t expecting anything out of the ordinary. Everything was cooked properly, and the presentation of the food was superb.

We could tell they are passionate about their work, as they didn’t miss a single detail, from the presentation to the flavor.

The playlist they use is relaxing, featuring popular songs in instrumental versions, which makes the experience calm and unique compared to other places that don’t offer instrumental playlists.

Very disappointing experience here. I had a reservation at 7:30pm for 6 people. When I arrived a couple of minutes early, the restaurant was full. They had not reserved a table for us and we were told to wait for a table that should be leaving soon. I was also told that my reservation was for 8pm however both confirmation emails showed 19:30 as the booking time. After waiting for a couple of minutes, we were then told to wait a further 15 minutes for a table upstairs or be seated downstairs where it would just be us. We didn't know how good the service would be if we went downstairs so we decided to have dinner at another restaurant...

Very disappointed with the quality of the food. Service is over-attentive I almost feel the waiter/owner is over -compensating for the lack of quality of the food. I find the service a bit pushy as the waiter keeps trying persuade us to order more food than we need. When I asked for the authentic Thai chicken mince with basil they did not have this on the menu which is fine but then he made the mistake of trying to convince me that they are authentic thai.
