Little Istanbul is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, places to eat in Southall. Given that Southall is renowned for its array of exceptional Pakistani restaurants on The Broadway, this is no small feat. Yet, Little Istanbul manages to stand out with its unique blend of flavors, ambiance, and hospitality.
From the moment you step in, you're greeted with excellent service that makes you feel right at home. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether you're here with family or a group of friends on a night out, the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The food portions at Little Istanbul are impressively generous, especially considering the prices. Some reviews have mentioned that the prices are on the higher side, but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. The quality of the ingredients, the skillful preparation, and the overall experience justify every penny. If this restaurant were located in Central London and maintained the same pricing, the very same critics wouldn't bat an eyelid.
Having been a loyal customer since they opened, I can confidently say that Little Istanbul is a hidden gem in Southall. It's family-friendly, making it perfect for a weekend meal with the kids, yet it also caters beautifully to groups of friends looking for a fun night out. The versatility and consistency of this restaurant make it a standout choice in an area already filled with culinary delights.
In summary, Little Istanbul offers a remarkable dining experience that combines excellent service, generous portions, and top-notch quality. It's a must-visit for anyone in Southall looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a welcoming...
Read moreThe only reason why I came here was because of the high Google rating and me not wanting to drive an hour to North London however now I have visited this place myself with all due respect I believe many that have raved about this place have probably done so because this is the best Turkish they have tried and have not been exposed to the best Turkish restaurants in North London. Overall I regret not making the effort to drive to Green Lanes.
My opinion is that this restaurant is punching way above its weight especially when it comes to prices.
My opinion is it's charging the rate of the best Turkish restaurants in London but the food is at the level you can get at most average Turkish take aways.
The ribs at £17 are bland and dry. The Chicken shish at £15 is dry and maybe you can see this from the pictures.
There are no healthy options for children I had to get my 5 year old an adults meal because of this.
I must say the decor of the restaurant is great.
My wife also liked the fish.
The service is decent also in particular Indian lady who very attentive and was always checking up on us I just didn't have the heart to tell her how upset I was as its not her fault but overall food is a MASSIVE let down and when you add the price they are charging its honestly like a kick in the teeth.
I will not return and in future would rather drive an hour to North London when I need my Turkish fix.
I added my receipt in case there was any suggestion I did not attend.
I also question anytime a business has loads of amazing 5 star reviews from people that have only ever posted just one review in...
Read moreWe visited Little Istanbul today around 20:30. It was not too busy. We went to this place to have the Kunafa. We ordered mint lime soda, chicken and lamb shish and kunafa. I had requested for a high chair for my son and noticed that it was dirty even after the staff who brought it cleaned it. I requested it to be cleaned again which was done. Later, I noticed the plate I was offered had a stain on it and had it changed. We were offered their bread which was nice. Mint lime soda was also nice. Chicken and Lamb shish was offered with salad and rice. The portion for rice was very small. After we finished we were waiting for the dessert about 20-30 mins. While we were waiting for the Kunafa 3 of their staffs came and offered to check about how long the Kunafa would take but no one came back to us . Finally, the Kunafa arrived. It was good and reached my expectations. It was followed by a Turkish tea which was nice and baklava which was below average. I noticed a customer sitting on the opposite table also helping himself with salt and cutlery from the next table as the staffs were not around to ask. Overall, the hospitality was very poor and cleanliness was not great. There was a long wait for the food. The ambiance was nice. But, I don't think I would ever go there again. The customer was not treated well. I told their staff that we had to wait a long time for Kunafa, she told it would take 25 mins to prepare but we ordered it along with the main course. In my opinion, this restaurant is not...
