I will summarise an extremely disappointing evening that was spoilt by the extremely poor service we received for a meal (9 people) to mark my deceased sisters birthday.Several members of the party had travelled far for this,one over 2hrs 15 mins each way just to spend two hours with us.The evening started off great,drinks came quickly,we were chatting then ordered quickly as a large party were coming in the adjacent area.Our meals started arriving but two meals did not come until after our group had all finished their meals - one steak came and the other didn’t,one pizza came and the other didnt - one steak came and the other didn’t and no fries turned up - no explanation or apology or even attempt to bring something for them to eat in the interim - it was so embarrassing and when we mentioned this, the answer we got was a dismissive ‘there is food still on the table’ - as if it was acceptable that two people should wait so long for their food ….and the only plate left was mine as I ended up leaving half my pasta so that one of the other two could eat it - my son in law is an athlete and needed to eat within a certain window.The really disappointing part was that the food tasted nice,the room and table had a good ambience,but the service was appalling - I work in hospitality and would have been trying to put it right straight away.Then the bill came and we were charged for the item that didn’t arrive and the two meals that were so late.One was removed after much going back and forth,which again was so unnecessary as it really impacted our evening,and we removed most of the service charge and only then did a person come over to ask us what had happened.He did offer us drinks which we were grateful for but I would much rather have not had the experience we had as it had a big impact on our guests and the evening.Our group should not have been secondary to a larger work group,and I would recommend that customer service is completely reviewed here.Good service would have made such a difference to our experience,I completely understand that things so wrong,but it’s about ‘putting it right’ quickly...

The venue is beautiful inside, and the food (fries, tandoori crispy potatoes, and flatbread) was good. Now, let’s get to the best (or should I say worst) part… Trust every 1-star review you’ve read—I managed to read them all while laughing and waiting to be served!
There was only one other person sitting inside, besides us. Because of the nice weather, most people were seated outside, and all the staff seemed to be focused on serving those tables. When we walked in, we were stared at by five different staff members who simply walked past us—no greeting, no offer to help, nothing.
My friend approached two staff members to ask if we could sit and be served, and they just casually said “yes.” She then tried calling out to someone four times and was completely ignored… I couldn’t help but laugh, all while continuing to read the 1-star reviews.
About 20 minutes in, I finally managed to stop a staff member and ask if we could be served. He came over in about 10 minutes (maybe just under), took our order with zero apology for the wait. The drinks took a while, and the food came literally two minutes later.
The funniest part? After we got tired of waiting, my friend asked someone if we could order at the bar—and they said yes… but no one ever came. Then two men walked in, and guess what? They were served instantly. We were just sitting there laughing.
Oh, and before I forget—too many funny moments not to share! The woman who served us said she’d bring clean cutlery… and replaced ours with the ones from the NEXT TABLE. 😂😂 I can’t make this up! My friend and I looked at each other like, “Did that really just happen?!”
Yeah… definitely go somewhere else. This clearly isn’t the place. But if you’re in the mood for a laugh, come here, read the 1-star reviews, and watch them come to life before your very eyes.

Read moreSadly yesterday I had a horrible experience eating here the food wasn’t great and the service was terrible, we never had a drinks menu yet were asked what drinks we wanted, after waiting forever, food came out with no cutlery and then waiter grabbed leftover cutlery off a different table, I had no salt and pepper and the food was quite bland and sloppy, eggs were snotty…. Would have complained but the service was so bad that I didn’t want to confront it. We were asked how our food was around 45 minutes after finishing, we said fine because it’s too late to complain, I ate it because I was hungry. My friend liked her meal and wanted to take the food home they gave her a box. Then the waitress offered us more drinks and we said yes, waited for a menu that didn’t arrive, then she came over to take payment (no drinks menu arrived) while my friend was in the toilet assuming I’d pay for the whole meal, I then said I wanted to pay cash and split, and was told I couldn’t pay cash and she will be back later for my card payment… then she never came back for the card payment so me and my friend decided to go inside and pay ourselves removing the service charge. Paid, told the guy service was terrible, no apology, didn’t know if he had a bag for the take home food, had to ask another waitress and it was not a busy day there was NO excuse for all the service mistakes. I work in hospitality and service was way below normal expectations.
