Massimo Restaurant is truly a hidden gem and an absolute favourite of mine! I recently celebrated my birthday there with friends, and it was such a memorable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and genuinely kind—especially towards children, which made the evening feel even more special for everyone.
The food was absolutely incredible. As someone with Gilaki roots, I can honestly say the Gilak dishes here are the real deal—authentic, full of flavour, and clearly made with love and care. Every bite reminded me of home. We tried a variety of traditional dishes, and everything was beautifully cooked and presented. My friends, many of whom hadn’t tried this type of Persian cuisine before, were blown away by how delicious and unique everything was.
The décor is also worth mentioning—thoughtfully done, stylish yet cosy, with little touches that reflect the richness of Persian and specifically Gilan’s culture. It’s the kind of place where you feel relaxed and looked after, whether you’re out for a casual dinner or celebrating a special occasion.
I can’t thank the team enough for making my birthday celebration so lovely. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing vibes. I highly recommend Massimo to anyone looking for an authentic Gilaki dining experience in London—you won’t be...

The food is very different to any other Iranian restaurant that I have been to in London, if you're looking for Kebab this is not the place. I visited with a friend and she didn't know much about Iranian food and even though the place was out of her way she said she will bring more friends here to try. We both were curious about so many dishes but unfortunately there's so much 2 people can eat . Atmosphere: The owners have tried to give the place a chic modern vibe with a touch of tradition, accompanied with a decent taste in music instead of standard LA pop. Staff and service : staff are well trained and well mannered, definitely the service is above average Iranian restaurant The only criticism goes to the way the main dish was served, we were in the middle of eating our starter when the main dishes were served..at first I thought they are in a rush to kick us out, but that wasn't true...once they served the main, they were totally away and my friend and I spent 90 peaceful minutes in the restaurant. So I am not sure why there was a rush in...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews but after my experience yesterday I’m convinced the rest of these reviews are fake and perhaps their friends and family. The atmosphere of this place was off to start with as the owners and I’m assuming the owners’ friends were sat at a table drinking on a Monday night, they were extremely loud and were acting as if we had invaded their house and we weren’t paying customers. The food was very underwhelming, I ordered the morghe Torsh and the chicken was tough and bland and my friends ordered the kebab torsh and they said the meat was so bland that it felt like they were fishing for soggy meat in the sauce. We didn’t complain about anything and paid the bill to leave and the entire table of 10 people turned around staring at us???? It was very odd. I’ve never been to a Resturant where I’ve paid to be made to feel uncomfortable. I’d would avoid this place at all costs. Bad food and even worse...
