Well this was my childhood park . It used to support birds and small animals through its huge bushes and trees , Not any more , the 2m boarders are no longer able to support the wild life of old , the bushes and trees we used to hide in as dens all gone , The children's playground was empty , Its the Easter holidays, I wonder why , may be its because its so boring no child would wish to.play there ,the slide the swings the swinghorses even the seesaw all gone .
Then there is what used to be the heart of the park , the shelter, which used to have a kitchen at the back and teas and coffees cakes ect could be bought , now all bricked up, you can't even sit in the shelter as the Park authorities obviously feel that replacing long wooden bench is beyond their abilities .

Unsafe to have dogs off lead in such a small space and so close to roads, especially the Hendon Way! Shocking actually. When we visit at less popular times, it's lovely.
