Ordered food for my family at the drive through. Car in front holding everything up to make a complaint about her order. She asked to speak to a specific manager, no effort was made to remove her from the queue she was blocking. Spent a long time waiting while the manager talked to her at the window, again no effort to get the queue moving. The lady was given her money back then asked if she still wanted her order and to go down to the collection window.
When I pulled up to the payment window I sat waiting while the staff gossiped about the customer, while the manager did something at the serving computer. No mention to her staff about the customer waiting to pay with his window open, although she did defend the customer when they told her that the customer was rude before she came out.
Eventually the manager left (without apology for the wait) and left, the member of staff asked if I was paying cash or card and handed me the PDQ, still talking about the customer with his colleagues. My favourite comment being "customers like that are why I want to hand my notice in."
After paying I would have loved to move forward and collected my food at the collection window but the disgruntled customer who had been refunded was waiting for her replacement food. The manager handed her food over, I took my handbrake off, prepared to advance but was thwarted by the manager who decided to have a chat with the customer, great for building a rapport with one customer at the expense of every other customer in the queue (and it was a proper queue now).
After some time waiting my temper admittedly got the better of me and I leaned on the horn, this seemed to be the magic formula that led to the customer pulling off but earned me the sight of the manager leaning out of the window to give me an angry, aggressive look.
I pulled forward and apologised for hitting the horn, the manager then decided that I should be told off for wanting the food that I'd ordered (what seemed like) half an hour ago while it was still hot. I lost my temper again and told her she spent more time dealing with a "nutter" than was necessary, at this point she started having a go at me for calling her a "nutter" then practically threw my food at me while the server at the window looked embarrassed.
To top all this off, there was a portion of fries missing and only 17 cold mcnuggets in...
Read moreI don’t know what was going on the day that I decided to pull in for a quick lunch break.
Restaurant was filled to the brim with angry customers who had been waiting in excess of 25 mins before I placed my order. I tried to cancel and get a refund because I literally didn’t have time to wait around that long.
Could not for the love of money get the attention of a single member of staff from behind the counter. I called out but no one so much as looked over at me.
A couple of staff members came over after a good while and then disappeared out of sight and never returned.
All in all, I waited 35 minutes sweating with anxiety only to receive barely lukewarm fries, a dehydrated stone cold burger with sad limp lettuce and little else.
I went in for lunch and left seething with anger at being held at their mercy for all that time only to be given an inedible meal and not able to get the attention of a staff member to put it right, quickly.
I went into the app to try send in the complaint through that but nope. It’s absolutely impossible to complain in the app about the order I’d placed through the app… Come on McDonald’s, get with the programme!
You’ve increased your prices, lowered the food quality and quantity and you offer very unhappy, stressed out service via your unhappy staff. Shameful.
One more thing. The “£5 meal deal” you’ve started doing is LITERALLY EXACTLY the same as a Happy meal in terms of what we get portion and options wise.
Did you really think customers wouldn’t notice your little scam?
Last point - £1.49 for 5 TINY little hash-browns?!
That’s just shy of 30p per titsy little piece! Pfffffft!
It’s like The Hamburglar has gone rogue and started to rip...
Read moreBased on a few visits I find this McDonalds to be very average. However, my bad points are that few times their fries were not even warm. They must have been standing for a while above the servery. I also saw one member of staff put fries back in to be reheated/cooked. Also, I went there with my family today (09/03/2019) around 13:30 and I tried to order meals. The lady on the till was not bothered at all and almost sounded deaf, was rude and she kept on repeating herself, when we told her the meal that we wanted and then she said only one person can order a meal at a time, when I wanted to order everything in one go and pay altogether for my family. I told her 'Are you sleeping or what?', she then complained to the manager, as if I was abusive to her, when I wasn't. The manager came over and I told her that I wanted to order meals, and she wasn't allowing us to order the meals altogether, but the manager told us that I can't be abusive to the lady in the till , when I wasn't. We left without purchasing anything because of their customer service. The lady who was working on till should be told off by her manager, when most of us were complaining. Her service was so slow and her attitude towards the customers, was not great at all. People will shout at her for what she was doing, which is what I exactly did. Please do check your CCTV camera around that time I mentioned above, to confirm. Customer Service was not great at all. - Never ever coming back there. Thanks for...
