As a full-time hospitality manager, I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by my recent experience with the management team of Aletta and Sharon. The level of communication displayed was subpar not only between themselves but also with me as a customer.
Upon placing my order, I endured a 38-minute wait with no updates provided about the timing. Initially, I was instructed to park and wait, which I did patiently. My first interaction was with Sharon, to whom I expressed my concern about the delayed food within the first 20 minutes. Her response was simply, "It's coming," yet another 15 minutes passed without any further communication.
During this additional waiting period, I found it necessary to approach the car park window to speak with the next manager, Aletta. I informed her that our food had still not arrived and that no one had updated us on the status. My partner then requested a refund, to which Aletta responded with a question about whether we still wanted the food. When we indicated that we did want both the food and a refund, Aletta stated she lacked the authority to provide a refund.
Throughout this ordeal, neither Aletta nor Sharon took the initiative to apologize personally to me, my partner, or my very hungry nephew. Instead, they delegated another staff member to address the situation, effectively avoiding direct accountability.
This experience has highlighted significant flaws in their management approach, particularly regarding communication, customer service, and problem resolution. Never any staff available at the front to attend to customers waiting to order or collect their food… Seem more focused for drive-thru orders even when the queue for it is at a minimal.
Waited almost 20mins for a McFlurry and drink. Staff attendee told me they are frying the food so it’s taking longer than usual… Had she of listened to what I ordered, she would have understood I ordered an ice-cream; nothing that needs frying!
