Recommend to steer clear, this is the worst place I've ever been to. 2nd day after the relaunch and what an awful experience. We've always ordered from the take away xpress sites which have been good. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children. We ordered for the children first, a simple cheese toastie. The waiter did not note down all the food we ordered when repeating it, so we repeated what he missed but he didn't take any notes of the change. The drinks arrived and 1 was missed which we waited for half an hour. When starters arrived including a normal Bombay sandwich we chased the cheese toastie. The Bombay sandwich was not toasted and looked a mess, so went sent it back. Some other starter food arrived and all at different times but the children's cheese toastie did not, we asked the waiter he said it's coming. The kids food did not arrive still after waiting some more so then my wife asked the manager who said he will check. The manager then came back out and aggressively spoke to my wife saying that she cancelled both sandwiches when she sent hers back, but this was completely inaccurate as we only cancelled the Bombay sandwich and not the cheese toastie for the kids. The waiter even said the cheese toastie would be coming out. The manager instead of apologising came to tell my wife she was wrong and that she cancelled it. He spoke very rudely, aggressive and stood over her in an intimidating manner. This was abysmal service, the worst I have ever experienced. A simple sorry we misunderstood would have helped. Instead accusing your customers of lying and telling them they are wrong is unacceptable! The food that did arrive was extremely bland and their take away branches do it better which is shocking. If their manager isn't sacked he needs to go on customer service training. The waiting staff needs to learn their menu better. As the dad of the 2 children I walked out with my wife and kids and left 4 other party members to deal with the owner of the restaurant. The manager was awful and would not help so my sister knows the name of the owner and asked to speak with him. The manager tried to evade this by acting like he didn't know who my sister was asking to speak to. Eventually my sister managed to speak to the owner who apologised. My family and I will never return and will never order from any of their branches again. Truly the worst experience ever at a restaurant. Abysmal and shocking. I recommend to steer clear and not waste your time and money on this atrocious place.

Lovely to have many repeat visits to Meera's restaurant in Queensbury. As big fans of the food in the Meera's Xpress branches for many years it's lovely to have the dine-in concept available with the same quality you expect from Meera but with a variety of new and innovative dishes, well presented and in a nicely refurbished venue with beautiful wall art designs. We love coming on Sunday evening for the live music alongside the great food it makes for a perfect place for all the family. The food is delicious and in particular we love the Paneer & Pomegranate Chaat, Lotus Honey Root, Beetroot Tikki, Paneer Papad & Paneer 36. These are all quite innovative dishes where the flavours are bold and they stand out against the crowd of more typical dishes you're used to seeing. All dishes are very well presented and portions are fair and great for sharing. We've not yet tried the buffet but there does appear to be a good selection each time we've checked. It would be helpful to know in advance what the buffet contains and I wonder whether this could be published on the website or social media as it changes daily. Finally and most importantly the service - Deval has been an absolutely perfect host during our visits. She understands the menu well and provides recommendations. This time we went and she was acting supervisor. You could see her attention to detail to guests all around, being available to her team members when needed and overseeing operations were running smoothly. What's more, she has a fantastic memory - recalling even what our favourite dessert order is and offering it to us proactively at the end of the meal. Deval is a true asset to Meera's and her exemplary service is part of the reason that we continue to return.

This meal was absolutely banging! There were some really interesting and unique offerings on the menu and we loved everything that we tried... The tandoori soya chaap was ferocious with a meaty texture. The paneer papad wraps were so unique and moreish. Savoury, sweet, umami & crispy the honey lotus root was unlike anything we've ever had before, and the paneer pomegranate chaat gave pops of flavour and texture. The paneer 36 was studded with delicious aromats and had the perfect texture. The Pani Puri were literally crunchy balls of perfection... Filled with spiced and minted water and down the hatch in one go! The paneer dhaniyawala korma was so creamy and luxurious, tempered with aromats that provided some oomph. And the daal makhani was so buttery, rich and indulgent. The garlic chilli naan and kulcha were perfect to mop up those delicious gravies. The drinks list is also impressive here with something to suit all tastes. Literally every single drink we tried was absolutely gorgeous and I was impressed the cocktails we tried were quite boozy! If you are in North London it would be rude to your palates to miss this one. Bump it up to the top of your list immediately!

I booked an afternoon tea for Mother’s Day on Sunday and called ahead to let the restaurant know we were running five minutes late. They assured me it was no problem.

When we arrived, we were greeted by two waitresses, and I clearly stated that we had a 4 PM reservation for afternoon tea. We were seated but given the standard menu instead. I informed the staff that we were here for the afternoon tea and asked for the correct menu. However, no one came to our table to assist us. We had to go to the front twice to remind them.

After waiting 15 minutes, another waiter finally came over—only to tell us that they couldn’t serve afternoon tea because there were three of us. I explained that when I booked over the phone, I specifically mentioned it was for three people, and I was told that it wouldn’t be an issue. Despite this, the waiter insisted they couldn’t accommodate us.

By this point, we had already waited over 30 minutes, and with no other option, we ended up ordering from the standard menu. It was really disappointing, especially since it was Mother’s Day, and the restaurant had promoted a special experience on social media, yet nothing seemed organized at all.

To make things worse, I noticed the managers/owners shouting at their staff instead of actually helping them when they were unsure. It was really unprofessional and made the whole experience even more uncomfortable.

This was meant to be a special day for my mum, but instead, it was frustrating and poorly managed. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a...
