A lovely hidden gem with a holiday vibe!
We stopped by for brunch/lunch and were genuinely impressed. The food was delicious and super fresh — it felt like we’d been transported to the Mediterranean! I had the meze bowl, which was tasty but on the smaller side (note to the chef: just a tiny bit more, and you'd have a fan for life!). The sea bass was beautifully presented with healthy, vibrant sides — a real treat. I would like to suggest the inclusion of a shrimp burger and alfalfa sprouts on your menu.🫶🙏
The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with friendly guests and even friendlier staff. A special shout-out to the lady who served us — she introduced herself with such warmth and professionalism you'd think we were in a five-star resort. Alessandro, the manager, was equally impressive — friendly, funny, and great at making you feel at home.
The decor is beautiful and relaxing — you honestly feel like you’re on holiday, even though you’re under a block of flats (which you totally forget once you're inside). There is plenty of street parking available, and the outdoor seating is lovely. I didn’t see any dogs, but if they were allowed, I suppose this would be one of the rare places I wouldn’t mind (and I say that as someone firmly in the "food first, dogs later" camp). The decor throughout the restaurant was charming and thoughtfully put together — but I have to say, and this is not something I ever thought I’d mention in a restaurant review — even the toilets were a highlight! They were surprisingly cosy and beautifully decorated, to the point that even a quick trip to the loo felt like part of the experience. It’s clear that every corner of this place has been designed with care and creativity.
The only thing to keep in mind is that access to the toilet isn’t the easiest if you’re in a wheelchair due to stairs, but everything else was spot on.
One small suggestion: it would be great if the staff dress code was just a touch more polished. Trainers are absolutely understandable, but sportswear like leggings or gym trousers can look a bit too casual in a food service setting. Something simple and tidy would make the already excellent service feel even more...

Read moreMy friend and I visited Megan’s in Chiswick on Tuesday for the second time. On our previous visit, we had been given two cards that entitled us to a free drink.
When we arrived, a waitress came to serve us. We asked if we could use the cards, but unfortunately, she didn’t seem to know how they worked. We asked her to check with the manager, and after doing so, she came back and confirmed that we could use them. After that, we didn’t see her again, and a young man took over our service (to be fair, he was excellent).
The problem came when it was time to pay. I settled the bill, but afterwards my friend noticed that we had still been charged for our drinks, despite the waitress having told us we could use the cards. We spoke to the manager, but instead of apologising, she simply said she couldn’t refund the money because it was a “system issue”. My friend explained again that we had been told by her own staff that we could use the cards, but she just kept repeating that she couldn’t refund us, and offered us “something on the house” instead. All we wanted was a simple apology and for the mistake to be acknowledged, not free extras. In the end, we declined and left.
Honestly, if a restaurant offers promotions like these cards, they should make sure their team understands them properly and that any issues are dealt with smoothly. We didn’t even ask for the cards – they gave them to us – yet they couldn’t honour them correctly. This left a very poor impression, and we won’t be going back.
As for the food, it wasn’t great either. On our first visit we had breakfast, which wasn’t fresh at all – the beans tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. On this recent visit, I tried the Caesar salad, which was equally disappointing.
Overall, a very...
