New Golden Gate — Restaurant in London

SEEING AS MY LAST REVIEW WAS DELETED We have used golden gate as a family for 15 years. When me and my partner got a place just down the road I was glad to still have our favourite curry place! What a disappointment it has become!!!! We ordered last week, their tandoori oven was broken, so we ordered 3popadom instead, they never arrived! So becuase we didn’t have a safisfactory meal we still wanted a curry so tried again! Over an hour and a half later the food arrived cold, and the delivery driver had claimed he had knocked before and took it back to the restaurant. We know this is false because of our two dogs.. the minute anyone walks within 5 foot she barks because she can hear them! She’s not a small dog where you would miss her bark either! Half Rottweiler you can imagine the bark. And after my phone call to the curry house the food arrived and surprise surprise she barked her head off. Until the driver had left. Rubbish food tonight, rubbish customer service and I don’t appreciate being lied to!! We will be taking our custom elsewhere. something has obviously gone very wrong again! Shame as our usual delivery guy used to work in the co-op opposite so we have always been so familiar with each other, that will be the saddest thing about not using...

Do not use this restaurant! Ordered a take away meal for two last night, they said it make take an hour to deliver, then they realised that we live just around the corner and said it maybe sooner even though the snow was laying, but the roads were good. After 1 and a half hours we called to ask, "15 minutes" was the reply! After another 40 minutes I called again, the reply was "it is being prepared"! Our meal never arrived! Just the right place to be when you want some spiced Indian food. When we arrived we were met by lovely owner and Andrew took care of the rest. I really loved the authentic decor of the place, its very cosy as well. We were looked after very well. I really loved sizzling lamb chops, very tender and mouthwatering. If you love seafood, then definitely try the kingprawns! Fresh garlic bread was made on special tandoor, not the average oven you would get from other places.
