I visited Oasis with a party of two, eager to experience the celebrated Moroccan cuisine we had heard so much about. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in an ambiance that was both enchanting and authentic. The decor, an intricate tapestry of traditional Moroccan artistry, invited us to bask in its warmth and beauty, setting the stage for an unforgettable gastronomic journey.
Service at Oasis was nothing short of impeccable. Our attentive server, with a genuine smile, guided us through a menu brimming with an impressive selection of Moroccan delicacies. Each dish promised authenticity, crafted with care and presented with an elegance that spoke volumes of the culinary expertise behind the scenes.
Our culinary adventure began with the Chicken Pastilla, a divine symphony of sweet and savory, wrapped in delicate pastry and dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The Kofta Briouat followed, offering perfectly spiced minced meat encased in crispy filo, providing a delightful crunch with each bite.
For the mains, we indulged in the Lamb Tagine and the Fish Tagine, each served in traditional earthenware, bubbling with rich, aromatic sauces. The Lamb Tagine was tender, falling apart effortlessly, infused with a medley of spices that transported us straight to the souks of Morocco. The Fish Tagine, on the other hand, was a fresh, zesty revelation, with perfectly cooked fish nestled in a vibrant, flavorful broth.
The Chicken Couscous was a comforting end to our feast, with fluffy grains of couscous soaking up the fragrant, spiced broth, accompanied by tender chicken and a generous assortment of vegetables. Each dish was not only a delight to the palate but also a visual feast, presented with an artistry that elevated the entire dining experience.
For dessert, we savored the honey cake, a decadent treat that was moist, sweet, and richly satisfying. Paired with a pot of traditional Moroccan tea, fragrant with mint and perfectly sweetened, it was the perfect conclusion to our meal.
The restaurant’s space was meticulously tidy, reflecting a dedication to creating a serene and welcoming environment. Cozy seating arrangements, featuring exquisite Moroccan furniture, provided the perfect setting for our intimate meal. The careful attention to detail extended to every corner, ensuring that comfort was at the forefront of our dining experience.
Oasis excelled not only in its ambiance but also in the artistry of its food presentation. Each plate arrived like a work of art, enticing the senses and promising a feast that did not disappoint. From aromatic tagines to perfectly spiced couscous, the flavors were rich, authentic, and deeply satisfying.
The ambiance was a harmonious blend of cozy and lively, making Oasis a sanctuary in the bustling city. It’s a place where the magic of Morocco comes alive, inviting you to linger over every bite, every moment, and every connection.
In essence, Oasis is more than a restaurant—it’s a celebration of Moroccan culture and cuisine, brought to life with passion and precision. Whether you're seeking a taste of adventure or a familiar comfort, Oasis delivers a dining experience that is truly...
Read moreI went with a friend for iftar (2 young girls). Initially I liked the decor and was anticipating a great meal after fasting the whole day and coming from a busy work day all the way from the other side of London to try morrocan cuisine for the first time. Their soup came first… it was BURNT. I can’t believe it was even served like that. I told the waiter and he took it away but never replaced it nor offered an alternative for replacement. I didn’t complain just continued with my iftar. The tagine was average, could’ve been better but I had no major complaint about it. The problem was with the service. At one point the owner came to ask about the food we said it was okay but the soup was burnt and he said “yes I know”. Again, we continued to have our food. The bill came and we noticed the soup hadn’t been taken off and nothing discounted out of courtesy so naturally we asked for something to happen, the owner made us pay for the service charge and offered £4 off yikes! I politely told him as a business owner he should’ve done it before I asked but that that it’s fine. He proceeded to speak very aggressively with me and my friend and eventually just ignoring me as I didn’t speak Arabic, my friend told him that I was excited to visit a morrocan restaurant and that she’s upset she brought me here and that it’s the first experience with her culture and it being so horrible. He started shouting and saying that he’s been in the industry for 14 years and has enough customers and doesn’t need us and he said leave my restaurant now. Please imagine that me and my friend are two young girls and he is a big tall man who is trying to intimidate us. If you’re a woman don’t go here if you care about safety and comfort. I would definitely not recommend this place. The food reviews are probably from his family members or influencers he invites. Please avoid at all costs and don’t waste your money or...
Read moreHonest review: The gentleman who greeted as at the entrance (wearing glasses I forgot to take his name) made us feel very welcomed. The interior of the restaurant is stunning, beautifully decorated in authentic Moroccan style. The intricate details, traditional patterns, and vibrant colours created a rich and inviting atmosphere that truly transported us to Morocco. Having experienced Moroccan cuisine firsthand in Morocco, we found the dishes here to be average in comparison. Some of the dishes arrived cold, and others lacked the signature spices that make Moroccan food so flavorful and distinctive. Our experience at Oasis was unfortunately disappointing due to the poor service we received. The manager, Adam, was particularly dismissive and inattentive. When we asked for a Coke, he inexplicably brought up the conflict in Palestine, stating that the restaurant doesn't serve it. This was not only irrelevant but also an inappropriate context to introduce political views. Moreover, the lack of attention from the rest of the staff further detracted from our experience. It was evident that other tables received more focus and better service, which left us feeling unwelcome and neglected. The overall lack of hospitality overshadowed the potential of the restaurant. While we were giving this feedback to Adam he didn’t seem to care and was very sarcastic with his answers. We hope management can address these issues to improve the experience for all guests in the future. The poor service ultimately overshadowed our entire visit, making it a place we wouldn't recommend. If customer service is important to you, you may want to...
