Probably safest not to give them any more business until they sort out their order management and delivery problems, which appear to have been an issue for at least a month now... They phoned after nearly an hour to say that the food would be another 20mins, when I didn't complain, they said... "actually, probably more like 30mins"... 35mins later (90mins after we ordered) I called up (no answer), then tried again 2mins later and was answered and told our order was with the delivery driver and should be with us in a couple of minutes... 15mins later it arrived. It's not a one star review as 1) I'll give them some credit for at least trying to communicate 2) the pizzas were reasonable quality (Mexican was actual pretty nice) 3) the Sunday "2-4-1" special made them reasonable value 4) they offered a £5 "sorry we're late" apology. That said, I won't be taking them up on the £5 offer anytime soon as if ruined our Sunday lunch time as the wait was ridiculous. Have never had an issue with this branch. In fact, we would actively choose this branch over all other competitors due to the efficiency and quality of food.
However, our last delivery in January was awful. Ordered at 8pm and it took AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES to be delivered. I actually thought the tracker was broken as it was being prepped for ages. I called at one point for an update and was told ‘sorry for delay it’s coming’ and then hung up on. Clearly the team were overrun with work.
Driver was very apologetic but not his fault.
The pizza itself was poor. The base was wafer thin with toppings piled on so you couldn’t pick it up without it giving under with the weight. This meant the base wasn’t fully cooked either. It was also lukewarm at best.
Head Office gave a full refund. Looking at reviews it seems that a bad time was had around this time and more recent reviews are better, so we will definitely give them another go (due to the years of good service) and I will update my review if things...
Read moreI should have checked previous reviews before ordering. Order placed 8.12pm 1st Dec received 9.40pm!! Phoned 5 calls back and forth regarding delay. App showed pizza and sides out of oven and quality check, after that waiting long time. Phoned and they said its coming another 20 mins. Phones back and someone with broken english said oven was broken down which i questioned him that app said food was out for quality check half hour ago to which he said something i couldnt understand. Got message from uber also to track. When i messaged them that i had not received, they message back that they did not know who I was? Then i got random messages/prank 'Im eating your pizza' it's delicious' 'i'm hungry'. I phoned shop and told them about these messages but they could not explain. I offered to collect the pizza, then they phoned back and told me the pizza has been accepted by uber. The whole experience left me shocked and bewildered!! . The shop did however compensate by sending an exra side and a small drink but can someone help me with this!!... never experieced...
