Me and my wife decided to give To Kefi a try since we live just round the corner from it. The staff are polite and friendly. The service was a little slower than expected since it wasn't that busy. My wife waited 10 minutes for her bottle of drink to opened. The place is very clean and nicely presented. It's on quite a busy road so expect so traffic noise. It's nice to watch the world go by while you drink and chat. One family had there dog sat with them at a table so some people might find that useful. The dog was very well behaved. The menu is a pretty typical Greek menu with dips, salads, skewers, wraps and a couple of sharing platters. After we ordered drinks, my wife had a G&T and i went for the Mythos lager. A beer I've had before in Corfu which was a nice surprise. (Beware of the prices for spirits) We went for some starters, a selection of 3 dips with pitas and halloumi cheese. That was all lovely but there was around 10 minutes between each being served. But all the same, we shared each dish and enjoyed it We then ordered mains. We both ordered meat skewers chips and pita bread. By this time we had pretty much had our fill of pita bread. The food was served quite promptly but my wife's chips weren't as hot as she liked. She didn't want to complain or send them back. We got through around half of our plates before we couldn't eat anymore. All in all, quite a nice meal. We would like to see a few other dishes on the menu such as moussaka and sea bass. We were too full up for desserts even though we were tempted. Baklava and ice-cream were a couple of the options. We are glad we tried To Kefi but we probably wouldn't go back there because we found it a little expensive for the quality. It's definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Norbiton and we are glad we satisfied...
Read moreVery small portions at an expensive price. I asked why the portions of every dish is so small, the waitress answered: because some guests didn't finish so we adjust the size. It's not fair for the other guests who can finish and still feel hungry after the meal. I ordered octopus of £17 + service charge, only 1 feet with a few potatoes ... I was like... What?? Are we in Chelsea? Are you serving kids menu? Overpriced with small portions, not generous enough.
My mother in law ordered mixed skewers of chicken and pork. Only 1 skewer of chicken and 1 skewer of pork . I thought are we joining same hungry game show?
My husband had takeaway here before, he needs to buy extra bread after a normal main dish. He said the Greek takeaway opposite to this shop is bigger portions and more affordable, and probably same quality. He was so angry after ordering. He forgot to warn us about this restaurant before we came. He is not a tall guy , a normal British guy probably needs to order 2 main dish to feel ded up, where each dish cost like £ 17 + service charge.
Also the card machine not working so my in law needs to go atm to take cash... Not very cool
Just the waitress is nice. But that's not enough for us to come back or recommend to...
