It was fantastic! We were visiting Romford and looked for a good Indian restaurant to try for an evening out. We found Cafe Balti and headed there, but when we got there it was called Spice Club and we weren't sure if we wanted to give it a try. We did, and we are very glad... It turns out that the new owner and chef had previously worked at Cafe Malti, and tweaked and improved the recipes and reopened under a new name. Everything we got was so delicious... The papadoms came with four delicious sauces (or favorite was that mint ). The saag paneer was great, the chilli naan was fresh and light and had a nice spicy kick, and we.had a nice chicken dish whose name I can't remember that was suggested by the owner. In any case, everything was great, and I highly recommend it and hope it sticks around until the next time...
Read moreI had this place on my radar since i heard good things about its new management. The food was some of the best Indian/ bangla cuisine I've had, ever. Everything, including the well diced chicken, in the delicious naga curry was fresh. The packaging used for delivery was of high standard. Prawn tapas was highly innovative and delicious especially the spicy batter that encased the prawns. In summary everything was cooked to perfection and the food arrived hot and on time. If they maintain these quality levels here, then this place will be a real gem. I will update this review in the next 6 months to see how...
