8 years ago, upon learning that a new business was opening up on the Bush Hill Park parade, I had hoped for a dirty kebab shop or artisan pizza place that also did burgers. Neither came to fruition. What came instead was Stantons. The owners - Colin and Jimmy - whom I had originally assumed were lovers, but to my surprise were actually siblings, have elevated the coffee scene in EN1. There’s always a monthly special. And you can get a babychino (with a shot) for 50p. If you like Holtwhites bakery, don’t go there, come here instead as they also are purveyors of Holtwhites pastries. Of late, the boys have also invented new dishes: The Tiramisu Focaccia.
