I gone to theirs bakery called Sun-flour bakery. The establishment was tidy. the staff was cheerful and always put up a smile thus they made everyone feel comfortable and laugh with jokes. The cakes and pastries ARE freshly baked, everyday. For some reason I decided to try the soup of the day and it was fenomenal, on every spoon i could taste the freshly made soup with basil and the condiments as I could simply say it’s ‘comfort food at heart’. To finalise I decided to try their famous jam doughnut. The jam was scrumptious, with freshly baked in a in-house bakery. Thus was scrumptious with real jam which made my mouth water, every-time i taken another bite into that huge jam doughnut. I am rating the establishment 5 stars; for service, gastronomic taste, presentation. I also challenge you the reader to come and taste comfort food at heart.

Sometimes you encounter someone who is not only good in his trade, but also takes pride in his work. Next to that open to help and share his knowledge. We stayed in London for the last weekend and wanted to eat freshly baked sourdough bread. In the back of the shop we encountered Paul taking the fresh and hot bread from the ovens. Paul gave us a cup of his sourdough starter and gave us some hints and tips on how to keep it alive and use it to recreate it at home. Also we bought some “Irish soda bread” which tasted great and of-course completely different than the Sourdough. As a special ty we asked our traveling lepricorn to join the photo with the Irish soda bread 😁 Thank you Paul for creating a new adventure during our stay in London!

Very happy to have stumbled upon this little gem. The owner and the staff are so friendly and cute, and the pastries and the tarts are amazing! Their homemade sausage rolls are the best sausage roll we ever had in London! (We think it's even better than Ginger pigs!) We came here four times during our short stay. Would definitely come back here again when visiting London next time!

I am editing this review, to add my feedback on a second experience of being supported by Paul and the wonderful team at Sunflour Bakery - this time for the post-funeral reception of my beloved mother, who passed away just 14 months after my dear sweet father. We had exactly the same, brilliant and positive experience from the team at Sunflour, as you will read in the original review below. The food and service were all absolutely top notch. This time, as it was colder than for my father's wake, we had soups, as well as the sandwiches and Paul's delectable carrot cake. Who knew that soup could engender such delight - so many people specifically mentioned how delicious the two soups were (tomato and basil, plus leek and potato). And they enabled us to cater for vegetarians, vegans and those needing GF too in a completely hassle free way. Thank you so much again, Paul, for doing a brilliant job and taking the stress away at such a difficult time! Claire x (December 24).

Original review from Oct/Nov 23:

Paul O'Brien and his team produced the most exceptional catering for my father's funeral reception at the London Canal Museum yesterday.

They had a challenge on their hands, as many of those attending were from the field of nutrition and food. The Sunflour Bakery team therefore had very high standards of taste and nutritiousness to meet!

All who attended went out of their way to compliment the exceptional, healthy AND delicious buffet that Sunflour Bakery produced.

Paul was extremely professional and 'on it' in the planning and 'creating the menu' phases (going well beyond the extra mile here, with his understanding of our needs, and his creativity to meet them), as well as the delivery.

The whole buffet was delivered beautifully presented, and was freshly ready and waiting for our guests to arrive at the allotted time. What's more, the menu was very good value for money and plentiful.

The icing on the cake (pun intended!) is that Paul is also a thoroughly lovely person to deal with - full of good humour and kindness.

I cannot recommend Sunflour Bakery more highly, if you're looking for great value and exceptional quality catering for your event. Absolutely top notch and thank you Paul and team, for a great experience, from...
