February 2024: Thought I'd take the old man here as we used to go together when I was a kid many decades ago and he took his wife back in the day when this establishment was not taken over by Beefeater. It was incredibly upsetting and disappointing for my Grandad and Co to come back here and see how downhill it has become. Everything from the Ambience when you first come in. Literally no atmosphere and booking a table you'd expect someone to greet you to your table at the alloted time. Drink prices are good for spirits but overcharging 2.5 times the amount of red wine which is ridiculous. Tables near the bar area were sticky which shows signs of a dirty establishment. When we finally went to go to our table that was reserved for 8:30pm the table was not prepared in advance. In fact they were still spraying and washing the tables of leftover food! Unless you don't cook please don't say the food here is fantastic. It's not disastrous but the starters are very incomplete and the steaks we had were overcooked on the outside. It was not triple cooked chips but most likely frozen chips out of a bag. The tomato and mushroom was soggy and peppercorn sauce was watery. Grandad complained the Mustard had no oomph and tasted watered down as well. Very odd decor. Has a dark ambience and bless the waitress tried as hard as she could. She was lovely but unfortunately could not tempt us to a loyalty card. It was sad for my Grandad to say he would never come back to the establishment that he took his former wife for dinner dates but is glad to have come back and finalised his curiosity. Have you also considered putting lights outside for people sitting in the outdoor area? I am trying to tempt him back for breakfast because surely... How bad can it go with unlimited brekkie for a tenner? Really? Feel free to ignore this review but the food is alot left to be desired along with an out dated atmosphere.

Another first class Beefeater. To say I have visited a few Beefeaters up and down the country is an understatement, yet i keep using them time after time when away on business. The simple fact is you know you are going to get great, fresh, tasty hot food and this Beefeater was no different. As soon as I walked in the great service started. Even after being told by the Premier Reception they were fully booked and busy, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. I love this style of Beefeater where it's a multi-level restaurant, it looks and feels really good and there's a good atmosphere with everyone talking. I ordered the mixed grill (I have had everything off the menu over time and didnt fancy steak) but when it came out I wish I hadn't as it was HUGE! The plate was stacked with piping hot tasty food and of course I tried to finish the lot but failed miserably. The gammon was perfect, the steak just right, the sausage was juicy and even the egg was cooked to perfection...I could go on. But it's simple, if you want great fresh, tasty food, honestly cooked and served with a smile this place is for you!

Unlimited breakfast for £9.50! That includes hot drinks and squash. There is free car parking outside with plenty of spaces. The restaurant is split over 2 floors but we have only eaten downstairs. There is a buffet spread with the continental breakfast. Once seated your order is taken for the cooked breakfast. There is a wide range of food on offer. We have tried both the scrambled and fried eggs. The scrambled eggs were either powdered or done in the microwave, either way, they were not great. Love the sausages and smoked bacon. They are generous with the baked beans which is a relief. Definitely reccomend for a lazy Sunday. Kids eat free bonus. Hit or miss with staff. Some are brilliant. Probably best to book a table. We never have but are always asked if we have and normally get some grumblings.

Edit : don’t bother reserving a table because it’s not ‘guaranteed’ and don’t take the excuse of a December booking either …. New manager sorted out an awkward situation which could have been easily dealt with by the waitress -but she clearly couldn’t not be bothered . Shame as we are regulars , she knows us, abd we normally leave her a large tip!! So my Mum and I have been twice in 2021 for Sunday roast and both times were great new manager Luke is absolutely charming and goes over and above to make us feel welcome . Great to see lovely Anna still there and also makes us feel special thank you beefeater Fountain !New update 14 July 2019 another Sunday another fabulous Sunday roast beef portions have got bigger with unlimited Yorkshire pud/roast potatoes and gravy . Great service as usual from a very busy Anna and Nathan who is just the best! 💥💥💥💥💥I just want to update my review:I have returned for Sunday lunch several times now and each visit has been different, but no matter what issue we have faced, it has always been dealt with efficiently and professionally by Nathaniel and Anna who have always been absolutely amazing and have always made our visits special so praise to them and all the other extremely hard working staff. I do think that you may need a couple more chefs in the kitchen just to speed things up and particularly as your restaurant seems to be the most popular in the area ...but all due credit to Beefeater Fountain and their outstanding team🤗

Just finished eating the most amazing roast dinner I've had in ages!!! Absolute value for money roast beef cooked to perfection and presentation excellent . Treated really well by Johnny our smiley waiter and Lars the maitre de 100% my new regular place for Sunday lunch with mama totally...

This review is based on 2 visits one on 4 Dec and the other on New Year's Day. It is less a review of 'Beefeater' and more a review of this specific branch as the beefeater as a whole is widely well known in Britain.

The fountain is a good beefeater in a busy location between main roads a short distance from Twickenham rugby ground. There is a small but ample car park right outside the door but it can fill up if the restaurant and bar are busy.

What is clear quite quickly when you visit this branch is that they would benefit from more staff on shift during busy periods. I want to be clear though, the staff that do work there are AMAZING. Particularly, a waitress named Anna who served us during both of our visits. For hours each time we watched her sprint backwards and forwards and up and down stairs (this is not an exaggeration). She was attentive, helpful and always made herself available when we needed service. She also managed this feat with nearly every other table in our vicinity. Nothing short of mind blowing how she managed it and I'm sure her managed probably don't recognise how she holds the service together.

During both visits there have been supply chain issues causing items to be unavailable from the main menu. It was nice however to see that they had tried to replace those items with other specials they bought it which showed they recognised the inconvenience and made an effort to try and make it better.

There is an upstairs part to the restaurant, a downstairs and a bar. Plenty of toilets in different locations too.

Overall this is now probably my favourite Beefeater. Improvements could be made as mentioned about but, the staff make the difference here in my opinion. Definitely worth booking ahead though as it can get...
