Update 22/08/2025.
I have upped the star rating from 4 to 5 overall, and 4 to 5 on the food.
Now 5* all round!
The fish and chips is fantastic and cooked perfectly, and love the lunch menu!
Love coming to The Mill, not just for the £3 a drink happy hour every weekday (but that does help!)
Lots of space to sit and chill, work or whatever like. Excellent views of the river! Hidden gem of Kingston.
Service and staff are always fantastic, never have any problem at all with the service and welcoming vibe every time.
Food menu is quite limited and don't get cutlery etc by default, it's what I'd say is perfect pub food and not fine dining. Which I'd point out that this place is not trying to be that, so take note - cheap for a reason! Its rare for first choice of food to be available, and most of the menu isn't. It would help to have a menu of the things actually available and not a generic brand one.
Drinks are what this places does really well.... highly recommended!
Could do with a bit of maintenance attention when comes to the toilets. Gets trashed and is a bit grim at times with water on floor. Great to see hand dryer fixed now.
4* review. It really can't be a 5* through no fault of anyone working today, needs some improvement on menus and food and...
Read moreFantastic dog friendly pub by the river Thames in the heart of Kingston. My first visit there through the riverside entrance which im hoping stays open throughout the summer. The staff were amazingly friendly. The toilets were clean and smelling fresh. I was surprised to see it had a pool table and a huge screen as well as a few small screens. It had lots of lots of the fantastic well known beers on draught including Stella, Peroni, and Carling to name a few plus a massive selection of wines and spirtits. I didn't get to sample the food but from looking at the table opposite who ordered food it looked delicious so I promised myself I will be back as old Arnie would say 😁. There was ample space between tables and even the bar had a massive standing area to put in your order so definitely no overcrowding. I was very impressed with the layout so If your looking for a gorgeous spacey pet friendly pub with everything you need then I would definitely...
Read morewe have not visited the mill for several weeks because, they always seemed to be running out of the food we wanted to eat. so we arrived with trepidation. we enjoyed a drinks overlooking the river and relaxed, we then approached the bar to order food to our utter disbelief they had run out of large mixed grills again. we were ready to walk out again and probably permanently when thankfully someone whom I assume was the manager or the duty manager approached us and stated although they did not have two items they could substitute other items from the menu if we would be happy with that. yes we would be more than happy with that. Thank god for a manager with his head screwed on. He made our night and saved the pub two customers who over the years have spent quite a bit of money in the establishment but had become disheartened by the constant lack of certain menu items. See...
