Escape Hunt Kingston — Local services in London

Excellent staff. We were having a tough time yesterday - half our group were stuck in awful traffic. I almost didn't bother calling Escpae Hunt about the booking - what sort of business let's you rebook with 30 minutes notice? Well i am glad i did, because the members of staff i spoke to were incredibly understanding and helpful, allowing us to move the booking later on at very short notice.

Then, after we did arrive, there was an electrical blackout across Kingston (half the traffic lights stopped working, i can't blame EH for the situation). The rooms all went pitch black. A member of staff was with us literally in seconds to keep us safe and looked after (i was stuck in a dark room of screaming 11 year olds at this point!). We had to abandon the experience sadly, but the staff were so helpful throughout - i literally cannot fault them at all. These are not the stereotypical saturday afternoon retail staff - they are well-trained and attentive.

And a rebooking gift card has arrived in my email this morning (computers weren't working yesterday of course), so we can rebook the room at a convenient time, with an offer of a refund if this wasn't acceptable (don't worry, it was). This team understands...

We had our first experience with escape rooms with Alice in Puzzleland. It was an enjoyable experience with cool props and sound effects! Our host Nile was incredibly lovely and helpful.

Some of the challenge was affected by trying to look for what next clue appeared following solving another, which led to some time being wasted. It would have been nice to have a visual aid to know things were open or important to solve the next problem, as at times we'd mistake a prop for the decoration in the room. Having sharp eyes definitely comes as a useful skill!

We followed it up with a Journey to Atlantis, which was a cool interactive room! There was some difficulty with lighting and sound, making some things hard to read and listen to, and some things harder to spot. However we enjoyed the puzzles and the special effects that came with this room.

Overall, it was a great first experience and Nile did a great job navigating us with it!

Excellent experience - our host Joe had a fabulous personality and 100% knew what he was doing! And after-conversation showed this company clearly valued being social and solving mysteries while still finding the experience enjoyable. Another host, Sofia, was also very kind in apologising when the room setup was running slightly late. The construction of the room was also, in fact, excellent. The number of hidden rooms and mini puzzles to solve was way beyond what I or the rest of my group imagined. My group did end up escaping the Samurai room (after numerous hints). The ability to receive these hints was also extremely helpful. The £104 price was also very reasonable for a group of 5. Although I would say, perhaps to improve on is, despite being able to buy refreshments such as water, the cost of such drinks were a little too ambitious. But despite that small negativity that could definitely be acted upon, Escape Hunt Kingston was an incredible, immersive experience that I...
