I took my daughter family and friends for a birthday lunch for my daughter's 16th which was a party of 8 and we were left very annoyed. The food was below par and the portions for the burgers and chips was very small for £10 a burger, chips and coleslaw, there was a handful of French fries and a spoonful of coleslaw hidden on the edge there was a long wait for some meals which ment half the table was nearly finished eating before others were being served then 20 mins after everyone had finished we were still waiting for my 3 year old granddaughters meal which we requested on numerous occasions to be told it's on its way then on asking the waitress again I was met with rudeness and told "what do you want me to do " while shrugging her shoulders and mumbling under her breath, I then made a complaint which was dealt with immediately by a lovely lady behind the bar but my granddaughter is still waiting for me to then be told it wasn't put on the order at the time of ordering so no food was being prepared for her but another very helpful member of staff rectified the situation and finally after another 10 mins the food arrived with the rude waitress who placed a hot meal Infront of my granddaughter and slid it at her across saying "oh enjoy"... Disgusting. Our afternoon Was spoilt by this one member of staff, the kids didn't get the opportunity to have desserts or enjoy what was supposed to be a family birthday treat as the whole experience deflated them and they just wanted to leave. Me and my family won't be returning which is a shame as the other members of staff were lovely and seemed so embarresed by the situation and could not have been more helpful and quick at rectifying things. It's a shame one person and ruin everything for...
Read moreWhen I lived in the area in the mid 1990's, the first time that I passed the Pavilion, furniture (tables and chairs) was/were quite literally flying out of the (closed) windows. I have, accordingly, avoided the pub for the last 28 years.
I am currently doing exterior work in the area. I needed to use my laptop to source some materials from a local supplier and decided to read the current reviews of the pub. By and large they were positive, so I have popped in (Tuesday lunch time).
It isn't very busy but the two members of staff that have served me have both been very polite. The Peroni on tap is good (£6.10).
I cannot comment on the food, or the atmosphere on a Friday night, but when next working locally, I will not hesitate to pop in again.
The food menu is standard Greene King fare but there is nothing wrong with that, by and large, their food is reasonably priced and of reasonable quality.
The pub is a large boozer. It does have signs saying no standing at the bar but I understand why.
It is clean and the soft furnishings/fittings are in good condition.
The Pavilion far exceeds my expectations.
Kudos to the staff and the Greene King...

On a Sunday afternoon went to White City Westfield to watch a football game final. Other places were full, called into The Pavilion and asked if they would show the match. The friendly staff said they would, so we came here.
After arrival we ordered their Signature Fish & Chips (apparently the best in W12 - but it’s true!) and their Signature Hunter’s Chicken. Was absolutely delicious.
The Fish and Chips had a nice aroma to it, the fried crispy skin on top wasn’t too thick, so could really taste the flavour of the fish inside. Even better than most Fish and Chips around UK.
The fries were also amazing, they came with a curry sauce (albeit a tiny bit spicy) but was a special dish.
Then the Hunter’s Chicken chicken slices had some cheese and Texan BBQ sauce served hot and tasty.
I will come here again definitely! Next time will try their Halloumi.
The area is huge - inside the pub (has slot machine) and they also have an outdoor garden called...
