Visited yesterday for a well-deserved drink after completing almost 12 miles of the Thames Path walk. Received a friendly welcome from the landlady and an extremely decently priced glass of wine! Pub was very quiet on our visit, but we put that down to it not being a game day. Decor was pleasant with plenty of Charlton FC memorabilia etc, The pub seemed to have had refurbishment done as it smelled new and clean! Recommended if you are also doing the Thames path walk, as was a very short distance from Thames Barrier. Sadly didn't check out the food (and sad we missed the beer garden!), but apparently the Sunday roasts...

My family have been coming to this Charlton pub for many years and it’s finally got its character back with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly team and excellent food with choices for all the family. My children say they have the best burgers - meat and vegan; a high recommendation indeed! I agree on the delicious vegan burger, chips and onion rings. Food supplied by JWalks Grill.
