Blackthorn Trust Café — Restaurant in Maidstone

Vegetarian cafe on site great for meeting with family and friends and enjoying a healthy drink and something to eat. Lots of the vegetables grown on site and picked every morning. Bread made daily too. Beautiful gardens with lots to see, working greenhouses, poly tunnel, flower beds, fruit trees tomatoes, leeks, rocket, and so much more. Plants for sale most of the year round. At Christmastime totally natural wreaths are made from willow and the foliage from around the gardens. They also run classes to decorate your own wreath, table decoration and more. There is also a charity shop on site too. Definitely a lovely place to visit at different points...

We arrived close to closing time. We grabbed a cake and tea. The gardens are lovely to walk around, very peaceful. A few benches to sit and rest and several sculptures dotted around. We were too late to visit the charity shop so we will save this for another day. There are a few car parking spaces on site and also road side parking. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. There are plants for sale at very reasonable prices. We will be coming back for another visit earlier in the day so we can have a proper look...

I was there from 2000-2004 as a co worker, after I failed my Kiad course and a nervous breakdown, and again in 2019, ..after unhappy 2006-2018, ...Shame the other co workers are scizodz ..and trouble.,and complete nutters

After 23 years I am back to normal self again with no trouble just need to find a new Job. Been offered a MA hons and 10 weeks course in concept art..in films and videogames.

But at least being there calm me down...
