Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Maidstone

Rather disappointing to be honest. I travel a lot for work and often visit a costa to work while enjoying a coffee. I had a delicious coffee and have no complaints about that at all. The staff seemed pleasant as well however, the shop itself was tired and I was a little shocked that I was not allowed to charge my laptop to continue working while enjoying my coffee. Its also a little strange to need a code to access the toilet although Im sure they have their reasons.

Ironically, i would have stayed and worked for another an hour before my next appointment and purchased another coffee but as I was not allowed to charge my laptop it promptly died so I left.

Ive have never experienced this in any other costa previously. Is this a specific rule...

Great place to have a decent coffee or whatever else you want to drink. The staff are very polite,always with a smile on their face and friendly ,they have got to know me now so much so that if i'm waiting in the queue to be served by the time i'm ready to be served my drink 9 times out of 10 will be waiting for me,this tends not to happen if they are short staffed or busy,its that personal touch that sets this Costa apart from other Costa shops and other Coffee shops that i have visited. If you are in the area or shopping next door in Aldi i highly recommended the place so pop in for 5 minutes and have a coffee,you won't be disappointed. One thing of note is that it does get busy but the standard of service or the coffee do not...

Just been here with my daughter. Ordered a Chai latte and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was fine but they don't know what a Chai Latte is. I had some sort of coffee latte. When I when and asked about it I was told that what I had was what I asked for. I pointed out chai latte wasn't a coffee. Was asked what was it i wanted then, because thats how they make it. All I got was they had changed the "syrup" they use a few months ago, but other wise it's the same. I had to point out again it wasn't a coffee drink. In the end I went without a drink as I'm not a coffee drinker and the two staff had no how to make it. No refund offered. Ended up spending £6+ on a small hot chocolate. Won't go there again, will stick to...
