Read moreI have been 6 times to this restaurant each timing attempting to use the drive through after I have already ordered and paid via the phone app. I only have started using them in the last 2 or 3 months. 1st visit ordered and then found systems were down but said it will only take 10 minutes. I ended up waiting over 40 minutes. 2nd visit system down yet again but was fixed in around 15 minutes before I got my food. 3rd visit their milkshake system was broken 4th visit appeared to be ok but when I got home, I found the order was incorrect and they gave me only 1 burger instead of 2 5th visit was possibly the only time it went well although the burger (like a few other times) was missing onions. 6th visit (today) was the worst. When I ordered via phone, the milkshake machine must have been broken yet again. I then found out the drive-through was blocked off. So, I parked and went inside to see if I could get my order form there to find out they put up chairs to block off access to the tills. I tried to get someone’s attention but failed so I gave up and cancelled my order and went home totally disappointed The place seems to be falling apart. Despite the drive through being new I’ve never seen the automatic windows work and they are usually jammed and must be manually pushed quite hard to open or close. Hopefully I get a refund to my order soon, but based on these stats, there is a 1 in 6 chance having a good experience. I will not be using...
Read moreThere were some really inventive ways to improve your life implemented at this branch of McDonald's. Firstly, they make you wait over 25 minutes for the food you ordered. This is to give you time to make better life choices than eating there, although inevitably, you won't. Next, they ensure that your kids are not raised to be spoiled by ensuring that the "toy" in the happy meal is just a bit of cardboard, rather than the mini soft toy they got excited about in the display. On top of that, if ordering fruit, expect carrots (with no warning or apology). The staff will happily completely ignore you and stand around doing nothing without a single apology, while the manager shouts at them for the fiftieth time "where are those fish fingers?" This is to ensure that your social interaction is kept to a minimum so you can save your energy. Do not expect your sauces without asking for them either, despite ordering them and then actually being on the receipt (which you may also have to ask for). I can only assume this is to save the planet from paper overuse and single use plastic. Despite (and in fact because of) these "initiatives", this McDonald's is a total flop. I would say that I shan't return, however as it is conveniently located on the way back from Europe, that may...
