The starters were ok, but just average food, not as tasty as it looked. The rice biriyani was awful, soggy and not very tasty. Overpriced menu. The service was the worse part, because we after finishing eating we were offered desserts but we didn’t wanted, so we say no thanks and pay the bill, but we wanted to stay a bit more in the restaurant to enjoy our friends company and finish our drinks, but to our surprise the waiter approached us and said that the table we were seating us was booked for other customers arriving later on and that we had 15 minutes to vacate the table. He started moving the table next to us making us feeling uncomfortable and kind of trying to rush us to leave. We left after 5 minutes with a very unpleasant feeling for the way we been invited to leave the table and ruined our enjoyment. We did not feel valued customers. Definitely did not deserve the 10% service charge pay on top of our bill. Will never go to this restaurant again....
Read moreHave been a long time customer of this restaurant from way back when it was the Gurkha. When the business changed hands a couple of years, we were wondering whether this might lead to a change to the standard of food, service and hospitality that we had been used to. We need not have been concerned; if anything the standard and quality has exceeded our expectations and it has consistently produced the most amazing range of authentic Nepalese cuisine! This is complemented by the professionalism and hospitality of the whole team. The restaurant has doubled its 'footprint' providing more space and covers, particularly important at weekends when it is in great demand. The drinks menu is also very extensive. Looking forward to many more visits for scrumptious dishes. Definitely worth putting on your list, it's our main 'go to' establishment and comes very highly...
Read moreEnjoyed a very tasty spicy dumpling (with houmous) for starters (Momo). For main course, had a range of well-cooked vegetable dishes along side a Classic Nepalese curry which was enjoyable and was accompanied by Himalayan basmati rice cooked with masala and saffron. Excellent! The food was similar to an Indian restaurant but still most of the dishes tasted very different and it was a refreshing change from the normal curry and naan and rice. For dessert, honeycomb ice cream which was a perfect end to a lovely meal. A decent price as well. Definitely look forward to returning and trying out some of the other dishes. Their super hot curry is apparently a knockout also according to a friend's...
