TLDR: AVOID, STICK TO TAKEOUT AND SKIP THE EXPERIENCE Visited with my partner, we both love Thai food and agree that it's very good here, quite authentic indeed!

HOWEVER, that's where my praise ends. The service was poor, our orders were mixed up in regards to spice level (switched), food never arrived (ok it was just the free prawn crackers but we were the only ones left without) and finally the main dish was rubbery as if it was left on the side for an hour then reheated.

Raised with the restaurant at the end as it was an internment venue and we both felt snubbed (we also waited until the other guests finished which wasn't too had as despite ordering ahead they received their orders first) out of respect to there evenings.

Agreed that we would remove the rubbery dish from the bill and call it even only to have a lady proclaiming to be the manager openly shout at us (we did not rise to this ourselves), insist we were trying to get away without paying (quote the opposite however once this stared frankly I wish we had walked out there and then as our evening was finally well and truly destroyed), that we didn't send it right back when received (we felt the staff were snubbing us, knew that had left it on the side and mixed up the order, I overheard a table being offered one of our dishes, assuming the ordered the same, only for it to go back in the kitchen, and they tried to cover this by saying they had made it 'extra special', yes after an hour of waiting, finally eating our mains only to be let down, trying to catch the waitresses attention to no avail) told that we must no know what the food should taste like and that it must be our first time eating thai food (far from it) and finally having a spiteful 10% added to our bill (also illegal since they don't display anything about discretionary service charges)

Their explanation for the 1h wait was that they prepared food in the order that the eaters are ready for their dish, that is to say that if you have a starter they will prepare the 10 other peoples food who order takeaway + any in restaurant orders ahead of yours leaving, giving you no information, no apologies and no consideration to diners experience.

Their lack of communication was dreadful, then there aggressive and openly rude and insulting behaviour once asked about was disgraceful. I can't believe there wasn't some reason behind the hostilities and our terrible experience since it comes so highly recommended and I'm sure I will recover some thinly veiled insult as to explain how I am wrong and avoid looking in to addressing any issues as seems to be the trend on other low reviews here it would seem.

I would like to say one last thing, get your act together, if this is some family run/issues keep it out fo the restaurant and take responsibility for your mess, stop shouting. And for the record (after speaking to them out of curiosity on my position) my card provider said they would happily issue a chargeback and take my complaints formally to the...

Very nice Thai restaurant. It deserves the awards it's won. After looking online for a nice Thai restaurant I found that a lot of websites highly recommended Thai palace, so took a look at their website and menu and found that the food they had was what I was looking for at reasonable prices. I was able to book a table via their website which was great and good thing too as they are very popular so booking in advance is a must. We went there and didn't have to wait at all being greeted by a waitress and directed to our table. One thing I like about the service was that they didn't straight away all about ordering any drinks, but have is some time to sit and relax, and peruse the menu first (a lot of places straight away ask you what drink you want before you've fully sat down which is not a good experience). After taking our orders the food tasted very fresh and delicious, with the time between starter and main course being well placed. One extra thing I thought was very good was the drinks menu going off what was set. As I was driving so didn't want any alcohol they made me a mocktail to go with the cocktail my wife ordered even though there wasn't any provision for it on their menu. I thought that was a nice touch. I had the tempura prawns for starter, my wife having the vegetable option, which was delicious. The main I had a beef green curry with coconut rice which was equally as tasty, my wife having fried fish with vegetables which was also tasty. One thing which amazed me was how the food stayed hot for the duration of the meal and when initially presented. Not sure how they manage this, but even when I was having the last bite it was equally as hot as the start. This was amazing and great as it keeps the food very tasty with a lot of restaurants not having food at that temperature at the beginning of the meal nor last that long. 5/5 for presentation and taste and they are well deserving of the status. I will definitely go back as I want to try another main on their menu which was the seafood. They also deliver, but I don't think I'd take up that option as seated...

Cannot believe the shocking service of this restaurant. We booked a table for 3 of us for 6pm and when we arrived we were abruptly told we would have to leave by 7.30pm as they said they had a big table arriving (no hello or welcome) which we agreed to as we felt this was enough time. The waitress took our drinks order and then asked for our food order within 5 minutes of arriving, and we asked for a few more minutes. She came back after 30 seconds and we asked for a few more minutes, and she would not leave us, so she stood over us whilst we tried to hastily make a decision. Which is a shame as we planned to have 6 or 7 starters between us so we could all share and try bits.. but we had 1 each instead. We ordered our starters and mains. Food came out quickly and tasted good. No complaints about the food. As soon as one of us finished, the plate was taken and this meant leaning over the person still eating to get to it! The mains came out quickly and two waitresses hovered around us looking at our places and then kept looking at the clock. They stood in very close proximity to us the entire time. They seemed very anxious to have us gone, even though there was plenty of time. At no point did anyone ask us how the food was or if we wanted more drinks. Again, as soon as a plate or bowl was empty, it was gone, and again lots of leaning right over the person eating. When the meal was finished, all plates were gone and the bill was brought out swiftly without us asking for it. No offer of dessert or coffees.. it was 7.10pm at this point.. so we weren't sure of the rush and only 1 other table was occupied the whole time we were there. We came here because we were having a catch up after a long time and wanted to have a lovely experience, we chose this restaurant because we thought the reviews indicated it was one of the best. Really confused at why our service was so bad. We ended up having to find a place for a drink after so we could chat. We certainly will not be...

I wish I can put zero star but it’s not letting me so still lucky I can give one star. The Staff are so rude we were eating and the guy which I think the “owner” came and he said “YOU! YYOU CANNOT BRING FOOD FROM OUTSIDE WE HAVE BREAD OR ANYTHING HERE” we responded “Sorry my stepfather is not eating rice that’s why my mum gave a bread which they have in the bag as my mum is diabetic and we’re sorry we did not know that we cannot eat food from outside as no note or the staff did not tell us but the guy said we don’t care we are in the right position I don’t need your money “GET OUT” . I work in hospitality industry even five star hotels but we always respect our guests. Reply to the owner: We kept trying to apologise and explain our situation but he doesn’t want to hear. All he was saying was “GET OUT I DONT CARE, I DONT NEED YOUR MONEY”.

I can count on one hand the amount of Thai meals that I’ve had this side of the Land of Smiles, and this is largely due to the fact that the Thai cuisine we get over here, just doesn’t come close to what you get over there. Narai Thai Palace however, is really very good. We had a fantastic meal with every dish arriving quickly, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The prices are reasonable, the service is good and the tastes are authentic. Would certainly recommend. The Seafood Salad was a particular favourite
