Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Maldon

Wow 😮 I have never been treated so badly in all my life. I went into Costa store inside next at 4pm on Tuesday the 4th December with my 11 year old boy. He chose a toastie. A girl called Louise then asked if I would like it warm I said yes please. She then told me that she had turned the machine off and she wasn’t going to warm it and that she had cleaned the machine I asked what time they closed she said 5 o’clock and it was 4!! She then told me that no one had been in all day amd that’s why she had turned it off. I took about twenty seconds before I said anything to her… ( i actually couldn’t believe what she was telling me ) I then said I would like my son’s toastie cooked please. I said this calmly and said please. She then told me she wasn’t turning the machine on… it’ll take 20 minutes to warm up and to calm down ( I was incredibly calm and didn’t raise my voice in the slightest. Then said I’m refusing to serve you!! I then again said sorry ( shocked again by her random reaction) I asked for a manager…. She told me it was her?? And that her name was Louise when I told her I would be complaining.

Absolutely terrible Costa and disgusted at such a rude and awful girl. There’s no need for it. My son said to me…. But mum why did she not serve us, we did nothing wrong!! I will be contacting Costa...

Outstanding service! My fiance came over with our dog to get some take away coffee when I was in a car with our baby. As Costa is not a dog friendly venue he was expecting problems with placing an order. But nothing like that happen. A super friendly and helpful Costa staff member came over, took his order and even looked after the dog for a moment, so my fiance could go to the bathroom. And the coffee was good as always...

Came to this Costa for the first time today and my partner ordered for me got my order wrong twice yet the lovely Pawel made it not problem to change. He’s got such a lovely aura and really looks after the customers you can tell he’s not got a bad bone in his body. Would defo come back here atmosphere was lovely and calm and he did make a beautiful soya ;) hot chocolate! My partner had a latte which he said was...
