The Kings Head — Restaurant in Malvern Hills

I had a good meal at the Kings head but would rush to go back and there is one reason for this, the outside area was full of drinkers that had been enjoying a long day in the sun, which for many reasons made it an unpleasant place to be – definitely not a family environment.

The outside seating area is the main feature of the pub it is one of the best locations in Worcestershire by the side of the river Severn, it is a shame that it is not the nicest...

Visited today on the way home from Tewkesbury and it happened to be the village folk festival. Despite it being very busy, the staff were extremely accommodating in managing to get a table set up for us. They are very dog friendly and our pup loved having a fuss from the staff. My son was also very happy having new people make a fuss of him too. The food was excellent and we cannot recommend the cheeseburger or the venison sausages enough! The cheeseburger in particular was thoroughly enjoyed. The prices are excellent value - £9 for a freshly made, very good quality cheeseburger, chips and salad, and equally priced venison, mash and gravy, and (freshly cooked honey roast) ham egg and chips. We would 100% recommend and we will be returning...

I ordered 2 bacon sandwiches with a coffee and a cake. Shortly after a table of 10 came in and they also ordered bacon sandwiches. They proceeded to give the table of 10 all their sandwiches 2 at a time before serving us ours. Ontop of that I told them several times as they were doing this that we were waiting and ordered first. We were then given one sandwich at a time after a young chap gave our other sandwich to the wrong table, How difficult is it to serve up 2 together. Then the sandwich turned up greasy and they had not even bothered to slice it in half. Horrible food horrible service. Incompetent staff...
