The Kings Head — Restaurant in Malvern Hills

NOT-FAMILY FRENDLY! And not a PUB!(dunno what they trying to be) Avoid!! We live in Tenbury for 2 y now, we never been in this pub before ,so was thinking of checking it out...well... ain't going again. Only nice thing here is the flowery garden and professional waiter in the pub,but everyone can live without that... When we was having drinks outside- Chinese/Thai Chef- came out to tell our kids off -for playing outside. Kids was touching little stone fountain, playing with small stones, trying to put in fountain ecs, He just started to tell our kids off, he said- "sorry (in abrupt tone)-but you will have to go home!" but he wasn't even addressing this to us-parents,but to children!!!!!! He was very abrupt and short! My oldest daughter,whos 10 asked me what's wrong with him! He came to the kids twice with remarks! He was also watching them through the window,- which made us feel really uncomfortable! Wow! Customer service 0!! Being Chef and in restaurant business for 10+ years myself,I was shocked to see somebody behaving like this,plus.. he was supposed to be in the kitchen,no?! No wonder this place is always empty when passing bay. Always!! To be fair - nobody of people who i know-recomend this pub, nobody who i know goes there! Looks like they have something else on side,dogy.. Just put big sign - NO KIDS ALLOWED for future reference!! We will tell all our friends and and relatives to avoid this place of all costs! Weird place for Tenbury, hopefully somebody better can come bay to make proper pub out of it. Go to Crow instead, superb family...

Mum and I had a lunch here today at The kings Head, Tenbury Wells. All I call is wow. Interior decor light,airy and with plenty of space. Very friendly service with a relaxed atmosphere. As you approach the courtyard entry, you’re greeted with a spectacular floral entrance and garden. Lovely to sit outside on a summers day or evening. Incorporates several water features also while relaxing with a cool refreshing drink. Stopped off at Tenbury Wells to break our journey to North Wales from Bristol. So glad we chose The Kings Head for lunch. Received a warm welcome & excellent service from Lee and fabulous food ~ we chose from the Thai & English menu and neither of us disappointed. Lee made us so welcome, we enjoyed chatting to him. He also knows how to look after his beer as husband received the perfect pint of real ale.
