Just returned back to our caravan after a delightful evening meal at the Pembroke house. My wife and daughter had the soup of the day, butternut squash and red onion, I had a simple prawn cocktail both were stunning, full of flavour and presented with care and pride. Mains were roasted Mediterranean vegetable pasta for the girls and I went for the slow roasted pork belly with wholegrain mustard mash complete with seasonal veg and cider gravy, this dish or variations of it I've been lucky enough to eat all over the UK, and this one was by far the best ! Desserts creme brulé for the girls and sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice cream for guts here. Again what can I say other than, can I live in the restaurant and be a taste tester Please? All in all amazing quality superbly cooked and presented food, friendly attentive ( but not intrusive ) staff, a warm welcoming atmosphere and a true example of what local pub dinning should be. Thank you and well done to all, we've all ready booked a table to return for a roast dinner on Sunday...

The owner of Burleigh House Vicki recommended the Pembroke house for food when we asked her for recommendations for decent food. Well, what can i say? The food and service was 1st class from start to finish the waitresses serving us where not only very pleasant but on the ball from the off. The starters fried camembert and chicken goujons where cooked perfectly and where so tasty. Our mains Belly pork with mustard mash and chicken with parmesan garlic cream sauce with homemade chips where amazing. We enjoyed the starter and main that much we decided to go for the treble and orded our deserts we had creme brulee and vanilla cheesecake with pouring cream i don't know how we finished them we where that full but we did 😀 they too where very tasty. We would highly recommend eating if you're in the area as the food service and value are second to none. Darren & Pauline from Scunthorpe ...
Read moreItalian night! So our second visit to the Pembroke House for one of their speciality evenings... we had been really looking forward to the evening, and we certainly wern't disappointed! Just as before, lovely welcome by the staff who were friendly, attentive and did everything they could to bring us a fantastic evening from start to finish. From what we have worked out rhe main front of house team who served us tonight were Jen, Polly, Tracey, Amy and Callum.. the owners of the Pembroke should be very proud of these crew, they really are a top team and are a true credit to the business. We didnt get to meet the Chef and kitchen staff, but judging by the exceptional quality of the food yet again I can only assume it was the same kitchen team who delighted us with the Seafood night last month too. Perfect A1 food with every course. Thankyou so much everyone! Very much looking forward to the next gourmet evening at The Pembroke! Best regards, Dean and...
