Went to this place last night and OMG beautiful. We had the meze for 2. You might think £48 was a bit pricey but let me tell you it was well worth it. Started with the pitta bread and dips. There was more than enough for 2. Then came the starters. Again - there was more than enough for 2. We didn’t even get to the meat dishes. The owner potted it all up and we have heated in the oven and had it for dinner tonight. It feed 3 adults. The food was amazing. Would strongly recommend. The young waiter was brilliant. I am just annoyed I didn’t take his name. For a young man he was full of confidence. Nothing was too much for him. A real gentleman and an absolute credit to the owners. Visit Alexandros for the true Greek flavour experience. This is one of only two restaurants in Manchester (the other one being Kosmos) that offer true Greek food. Alexandros's Greek cook ensures everything is done to perfection, and the food tastes what it's supposed to taste like - if you don't like it, you don't like Greek food! For a taste of everything, try the mixed mezze - you can ask for veg or a mix of veg and meat for a complete experience. This place has been amongst the top 3 restaurants in Manchester in TripAdvisor. Right now it's in the top 20 (out of nearly 2000 reviewed restaurants), and I do think that's too low. I had been meaning to take my girlfriend here for a while and after a last minute decision to go, we walked in off the street on a Wednesday night. We were greeted immediately by very professional waiting staff who remained professional and looked after us well throughout our evening.

I was not sure what to expect from the food but my partners Lamb kebabs and my chicken with white wine and brandy sauce really impressed us. We chose the fresh salad and this complimented the meal perfectly.

Alexandros only had a handful of occupied tables but I get the feeling that the staff know what they are doing and you would most likely get just as good service any night...
