Hawkins — Restaurant in Manchester

I hate doing poor reviews but the standard has slipped here big time. Last 3 orders have all been wrong. Decided to call into the shop to collect a telephone order to make sure it was right this time. Even after repeating the order in the shop upon arrival I got home and once again the orders wrong. Whilst in the shop the phone rang twice with complaints about orders being wrong for delivery. Yes mistakes get made but when your staff are not concentrating and end up confusing each other and it’s clear to see that’s happening. Hawkins for me is trading on a good name that was earned years ago yet currently they’re no better than anywhere else local. I use to eat from here years ago in the 90's and the kebabs were the best. I've not been for some years as I moved out the area. Last nte I was visiting a friend in the area and thought I would have a kebab from Hawkins thinking that it would be the same as years ago. I was so disappointed, I had a donner kabab and the meat was greasy and stone cold and their was hardly any salad on it and I wasn't asked if I wanted green chillies or lemon and salt. Wow this place has gone downhill. It used to be the best place for pizzas and kebabs. The pizzas went downhill awhile ago but the kebabs were still good. Got two kebabs the other night and the meat stunk. I put it in the bin and it stunk my kitchen out. It is currently stinking out the wheelie bin. I will never order from here again. Been a customer since the 90s and its such a shame. I seriously dont trust them and dont know what was in that kebab but its a dread to think about. Stay clear its...
