Manchester City Joie Stadium — Attraction in Manchester

We recently got season tickets to see Man City Women's matches here and have had a fantastic time so far. The stadium is right next to the Velopark metrolink stop, so it's really easy to get to. It's smaller than Etihad, but I consider that a bonus. It means the queues are smaller, the crowds are much less intense and wherever you sit you are close to the pitch.

Match day food is never going to be gourmet dining, but what they do provide is very tasty. I got a classic steak and onion pie recently and it was delicious. They always have pie it seems, but often do a 'special' meal too. One week it was a mini roast dinner, the next it was a chicken burger with all the trimmings. Plus various drinks, crisps and chocolate etc.

A very nice ground but getting to the South Stand was a nightmare. Our tickets were for the South Stand using the North East or North West entrance. As we reached the South West entrance first we showed our tickets and were told we had to go to the other end. On entry through the North West entrance we were directed to the South Stand passing the North East entrance. On reaching the South Stand and enquiring about a programme a Steward directed us back to a stall at the North East entrance where we waited for 30 minutes with no programmes appearing and eventually got one later at the South East Entrance. We visited for another regional football tournament after traveling from Devon, we arrived by Metrolink at The Etihad's own tram station just a 6min ride from Manchester Piccadilly. The Campus itself is behind the main stadium via a walkway bridge, we later found out it would have been easier to get off at the Velodrome stop just adjacent to the Campus The facilities were top class, the tournament was played in the covered dome which had a lounge, cafe, viewing area, wifi and toilets. Seating is available while you watch the football. The staff were excellent, a steward called Kevin talked me through the various facilities.
