Merhaba Ethiopian restaurant — Restaurant in Manchester

This restaurant is located in the East African Quarter of Manchester off Wilmslow Road and is a fully sister run operation ma sha Allah.

The food is a mixture of Yemini, Eritria and Somali and menu has a wide selection of dishes from fish, lamb, chicken and beef and served with rice/anjeera.

The service is super friendly and food was amazing with a homely environment and each meal comes with a banana as standard.

Must try if you want to try African food...

Really tasty food and friendly staff. A range of great looking Ethiopian food. Meat dishes, vegetarian Beyaynetu platter, injera. A healthy mix of very familiar flavours and some subtle different ones to the typical English palette of Indian/Chinese/European spices.

I went in here after 8pm on a Sunday, by which time the lady who runs the place normally retires to the comfort of her home.

Newly refurbished and re-opened at the start of 2018, Merhaba on Claremont Rd, opposite the primary school, now has an amazing menu of Ethiopian and Somali dishes, prepared by the friendly and welcoming owner. The vegetarian options are delicately spiced and tasty, and the lamb and chicken dishes lavish. The prices are incredibly cheap, and everything is available to take away, too. Can't recommend it...
