D&X Caribbean Takeaway LTD — Restaurant in Manchester

My husband and I ordered from D&X on Claremont Road on bank holiday Monday as our usual Caribbean takeaway wasn't open - something my husband said he laughed about with the lady serving him, who asked us to write a review if we enjoyed our food. Which as she promised us we did enjoy, the food was lovely. We came late on just as they were about to closed but the staff made sure our food was hot and ready for us to eat. Cheaper and better than most other restaurants full stop, never mind Caribbean. For 30 pound we got oxtail and curry goat each with rice, 6 slices of plantain, a patty, a BIG slice of Mac an cheese, a fried dumpling and ground provisions (two boiled dumpling and yam) and mutton soup. Don’t be fooled by the images on Deliveroo these portions are massive, more than enough for leftovers to have later. It was difficult placing the order as we wanted the meat and gravy to come separately from the rice. They charged us extra which in my opinion shouldn't have happened. We had to go through an awkward process of calling up and then requesting extra items and then calling up to explain that they were just there for the charge and not to be sent. To top it off the order came late. The original chef is still there but the service has declined....
