I went to this place to have my dinner and I even invited my friend to come have a taste of the food. I ordered fish and when the fish came I took one bit and realized the finish wasn’t fresh and it tasted bad, I asked my friend to taste it as well thinking it was just my mouth but he confirmed it’s bad. I tried taking a second bit and on my third bit I couldn’t because the part was awful and I removed it from my mouth immediately I brought it to the attention to the lady that served me, she came dipped her hand in the fish and had a taste, she quietly took the fish to backyard and was followed by her colleague. The colleague had a taste of the fish, he immediately spat it out. After a few minutes, the lady brought the same fish saying it’s not bad that I had to either eat it or pay for it (after she and her colleague had dipped their hands in the fish). The picture I will upload with this review is the picture I took after my bit, the lady and her colleague also had a taste of the fish.

The customer service was so poor I didn’t expect that response I got from them and the way they kept arguing with us over the situation instead of trying to resolve the situation and apologizing.

The most painful part is it wasn’t my first time eating there and I told my friend how good the place was and their food but only for him to come and have such a terrible first experience from Wemberly Restaurant.

Lovely African Restaurant in Manchester. Authentic Nigerian dishes to be had. From Ukwa, to Jollof rice, fried rice, nkwobi, swallows with soups like okra, ogbono, vegetable, Oha, onugbu etc. The Oha and onugbu soups get sold out very fast so if u don't come early by the lunch hour, you might not get some later in the day. That's how much in demand the foods are. Good place seatings and atmosphere. You have have a good conversation here to with other country men on all things Nigerian while watching the Nigerian news station on one screen and football on the larger screen. I arrived on 27th of April 2022 to this restaurant and ordered for pepper soup, I was served with a spoilt pepper soup and I brought the attention of the lady who served me narrated to her that the soup taste odd, are response was that she's sorry they over cooked the beef and started giving unnecessary explanation how the soup was prepared.... finally she collected her money knowing fully well I couldn't continue eating the food, she felt guilty she's knows I was saying the truth...... avoid this restaurant, it's was my first and will be my last to...
