Regarding food, there's nothing to complain about. Always top choice for a healthy option. Today, I decided to dine in and also ordered a portion to take away. Once I finished my meal, I was looking around to throw the box away. No bin in the shop for that, seen outside some big trash bins but never thought that I should go and touch those dirty bins to throw my things. Asked the girl she was behind the counter where can I throw that, and she told me to use the bins outside... In my mind, I was a bit confused, thinking maybe there is a bin I don't see unless I go outside and I don't need to touch any lid to lift it up to throw my things.. I'm heading out to find that bin that I know most food shops have not requiring any direct touch. I had no other option but to throw in one of those bins. I like that they advertise them as healthy but don't be fooled, their food is incredibly satisfying. They serve whatever combination of foods you want into a recyclable cardboard container. It's kind of intimidating at first not going to lie, I think if you're used to a takeout place that only does a few things. Fallafels were the biggest pleasent surprise though.
You can go quite light on the ingredients and get something healthier than anywhere else. Alternatively, if you're like me and just came back from the pines you can get a really substantial meal and pig out, without the guilt. Strong vegetarian options, if you're vegan you're safe here. It is costlier than some takeouts sure, but man when you open up that tub you realise you get what you pay for with a place like this.
Also, holy sh*t the coffee...
Read moreLocal boy does good...! I have no doubt that “Crunch” will put Mansfield on the map. I visited today and I must say I was very impressed with every aspect of the small family run business - ample parking, modern & clean premises, friendly efficient staff and superb products.
I had a brief chat with owner Andy and it was fascinating to hear and appreciate all of his vision and enthusiasm. Crunch is his baby - his ideas, his recipes, his hard work and his success. Hats off to you sir.
Isn’t it great to see someone’s dream become a reality.
Delicious healthy food, homemade with passion. I even bought extra for tea tonight.
Final note is just to say well done to Andy and his team. I wish you every success for the future.
