William IV — Restaurant in Mansfield

Shocking service new years day we came in at 12 hungry and ready to eat to be told the chef couldnt start as the landlady was still in bed when she did make an appearance she had make up smeared down her face from the night before and constantly said how tired she was we had a fairly big party of us in to eat and drink so when we could eventually order food we did 5/6 orders of food went in my family's order being the 3rd order that went in which ended up being the last to be served an hour or so after we'd first ordered we spoke to the landlady about it who didn't know at all how to handle the complaint and passed the blame on to the chef with no apology from her or even offer of a partial refund for the wait she just ensured us the chef would come out and apologise to us all which he never did once and to be honest the food when it did eventually arrive wasnt worth waiting for at all.....once the vast majority of the party left a few of us stayed but moved on to another table so the tables we'd all eaten at could be cleaned up we left at around 6.30pm and the tables we'd first sat at still hadn't been cleared and cleaned....we were all trying to be patient as understandably it was new years eve the night before so hangovers were going to be inevitable but even taking that into consideration the customer service, wait for food and the food itself was...

Last Monday, 29th July, William IV hosted my Nanna’s wake, and I couldn't be more impressed. The service we received was fantastic, and it was incredible value for money.

First off, the venue itself was free to hire, which was a huge plus. We had full use of the function space, and they even let us play our own music by plugging into their speaker system. It really made the atmosphere personal and special.

The food was both affordable and delicious. It’s rare to find such good quality at such a reasonable price, and it really added to the overall positive experience.

A standout feature was the kids' play park outside. It was a great addition and kept the kids entertained throughout the event, allowing the adults to focus on reminiscing and celebrating my Nanna’s life.

The venue was kept to a high standard, looking clean and well-maintained. The landlord was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after.

Overall, I highly recommend William IV for any event. It’s budget-friendly without compromising on quality, and the service was top-notch. I’m definitely planning to return for...

This is, without doubt, a Brilliant Pub. If you're local you will already know how good it is, if not, then rest assure that this pub is a very warm,clean and welcoming place indeed. Great selection of beers with Brilliant facilities for a family or just a couple of workers calling in. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating at the rear, with a clean and well kept fun area for the kids when the weather is good. William lV is loving known locally as the 'Top House' and is certainly a Top Pub. A traditional two sided style set up venue with hot meals available and even a nice sheltered area for the Old Smokers, lol. The staff are exceptional and very polite.
