Sat and waited. And waited, and waited. Food arrived at 8.25pm. Presentation was horrendous. Food had be thrown at the plates, fish was in dark burnt batter, you could count the chips on one hand. The curry sauce was placed in a separate gravy boat that was Standing on the plate amid the mushy peas. The scampi was cold and had been stood a while and it was topped off with a slice of bread placed on top of everything with a tiny blob of melted butter on it. One of the other dishes had a side of garlic bread, the bread was cold and only toasted on one side? Made it soggy and awful. Dinner was a disaster. Ordered desserts, again the wait was painfully long and when they arrived it was another dissappointment. Portions were very small, presentation was awful, think they had run out of plates and just used what the could find. A Mr Kippling finger size piece of chocolate brownie on a steak plate with a marble size scoup of ice cream. Sorry Talbot it was our first and last visit. You let yourselves down with the food. Atmosphere, and staff were great.. Shame...

Ordered a signature burger and my partner had the signature hunters chicken. Both meals very disappointing. No bacon on the hunters chicken, and no white BBQ sauce on the burger, and that made it very dry. Cheese not melted ether as the burger was warm at best. The Hunters chicken had alot of fat on the gammon and was sat in a bowl of melted cheese. No one came to see if the meals was OK. Went to the bar and another customer was complaing about the sharing nachos they had ordered. There was only enough for one person but they was told that's the portion size now, and that's all. No refund offered or even a offer of going back to the kitchen with it. Not asked when paying at the bar when paying the tab if everything was OK. Had to tell them and was just shrugged off, and told they will pass the message to the manager. Both meals left not even half eaten. Safe to say, we won't be returning and I'm sure a few others...
