Camp Smokey — Restaurant in Martletwy

We went to Camp Smokey for the Shindig and it was the best evening of our visit to Bluestones. The staff at Camp Smokeys are amazing, so full of energy and interact with all the guests. The atmosphere during the Shindig was amazing. Everyone is encouraged to get up and dance on their chairs and make as much noise. Our 3 year old absolutely loved the chanting and singing. Within minutes everyone was up and joining it. They even provided noise canceling headphones for our 1 year old who found it over whelming. The food isn't the best, but was fine for what you pay, they also had spares so gave out seconds to whoever wanted them. Finished the evening with roasting marshmallows. A great evening and...

A real let down. If you like BBQ food, you’re best off booking something else as this is not a dining experience but a music experience.

For £30pp you get half a dry piece of chicken thigh, 1/4 of a sausage and 1/3 of a piece of pork belly and a teaspoon of beans - that’s poor, you get more than that for less in a BBQ place in central London!

Staff had a poor attitude of it is what it is and the catering managers view was that it should be down to the guest to complain at the time that there isn’t enough food.

Save your money on this, and take your family offsite to a proper restaurant offering a much better value for...

The setting is lovely , but the food is seriously disappointing for the price. Don’t expect well-executed bbq favourites here; the menu doesn’t even have slaw on it, and the ‘chopped salad’ is a sad pile of undressed raw onion, lettuce and cucumber. Hot dog rolls are of the soggy, basic white catering variety. No specialty sauces either. I was honestly taken aback by how little love and imagination had gone into the execution of the food when the setting is as lovely as it is. Fun for the novelty, but not one...
