Great Sunday evening meal with friendly service!

Thank you to Priscilla our server who was just fantastic from the moment she greeted us with her friendly and attentive approach, so helpful and knowledgeable along with adding a touch of fun and laughter along the way made the evening, you could really tell she enjoys her job.

My husband and I decided to go for the Sunday sharing platter on her recommendation - wow if you haven’t tried it you must…..it comes with three succulent and juicy meats, including lamb, ribeye steak and half a chicken all cooked to perfection. It was served with Camembert mashed potato (a first for us but tasted fantastic) and seasonal vegetables which we had an extra helping of as cooked perfectly and such a nice selection that included peas, chantenay carrots, tenderstem, mangetout and courgettes plus the gravy was mouthwatering of course extra was needed 😂

Whilst the restaurant was busy as it was Father’s Day there was no delays in the service, the friendliness of the whole team or a feeling it was the end of a long day for everyone.

Overall just a great evening and we look forward to returning (hopefully Priscilla will be our server again) to try the Sunday Roast again!

First evening out of Covid restriction or dining in and a M&C Steak was a very welcomed sight! First attendance at the this restaurant so was eager to see how it fared against our usual in Sutton or whether would it be the dismal performance of Resorts World...we were not disappointed.

Attended as a group of 3 for a birthday we each had starters & steaks.

Starters were the cheesy mushrooms, wings with blue cheese sauce & Chipotle bites. All perfect as expected.

Out of the 3 steaks, 1 steak did come a little on the blue rare side for a medium rare request, but being preferred this wasn't a complaint. First night open & they had no chimmi-churri sauce which seemed a little unpreprared but no matter, the borderlaise & beef dripping (ordered an extra sauce because together they're sublime) were more than capable of holding their own as accompaniments & perfected the steaks. Onion loaf a tasty delight as always.

No room for pudding this time. Clearly out of the swing of things! Service could have been better, maybe reduced staff owing to capacity, but for the first night back open I didn't hold any grudges for it, it's been tough enough for the hospitality industry.

Visited on the evening of the 10th September with my parents and adult son to celebrate his and my mums birthday. When we arrived there were a few families who were ending their meals but it wasn't long until we were the only table in eating around 8pm - staff were more interested in cleaning and getting prepared for the next day than being attentive, made us feel like we were in the way- not spending in excess of £250 on a meal The male waiter was irritatingly loud, brash and saying innopropriate things to customers (before they all left) I suspect they may have stayed longer if his manner hadn't been so irritating. He was also bickering with the lady who I presume was the team leader about doing duties and she kept repeatedly moaning that she had the school run and sick parents to look after so wanted to clean up and go home (at 8pm) All in all a really unprofessional experience from start to finish - you're a regular choice for us but we won't be visiting again

Food was OK but most definitely poorer than previously- prawn and avocado salad - with literally 1 tiny bit of avocado and 1 prawn - we ordered 3 and I honestly believe they stretched one portion of prawn, avocado and sauce across the 3 bowls!!
