Spit Fryer — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

I don’t normally bother to write reviews, but after this evenings experience, I felt I had to as Spit Fryer have made my day! I ordered via Just Eat, and wrote a little note in the order (as I always do for the personal touch), saying how much I was looking forward to my meal after an awful day. The order arrived really quickly, and I was greeted at the door by a very polite gentleman, something you don’t always get with delivery drivers. I unwrapped my food, and it was all fresh and hot, and all good quality and good value. They had also included complementary dips. But on top of all of this, when I unwrapped my chocolate cake I found a note on the packet. It was handwritten, and said they were sorry that I’d had a bad day, but they really hoped their food would improve it, and that they had included an ice cream to make my day better. They also offered that they are always there if I need them for a chat, that they’re sending me their love and they’re here for me. It brought a tear to my eye. I have never received such phenomenal customer service from a restaurant, so kind and caring, and honestly just made me feel so much better. It’s nice to know people care, and are passionate about what they do. I can’t thank this store enough and look forward to ordering from them in the future. I will be contacting Just Eat to make it clear how amazing this store has been to me, they deserve all the recognition they can get. I don't usually leave bad reviews and have ordered from here since they opened 7 years ago previously quoted as my favourite place and never had an issue however I had a chicken burger today and the meat was like elastic I couldn't eat it it was literally like elastic string because I'm pregnant my partner walked it back even though it was a delivery order so this was an inconvenience I wanted to give them the chance to rectify this as I've been a customer for so long . They replaced the burger (no gesture of good will either considering it was an inconvenience to walk there and back after originally ordering for delivery) also forgot the cheese I had payed for this time however when he bought it back to me the next burger was exactly the same elastic string. Really disappointed it has put me off ordering from here again. I've never had a chicken burger so bad and it's left me...

TERRIBLE. Don’t get food from here!!! It was the worst food I have ever had absolutely shocking made me want to throw up all over it and send it back. The price was shocking too I paid almost £20 expecting a nice meal to have with the family but everyone hated it🤮🤮🤢 the driver tried walking off with all the money without giving change claiming he thought it was a tip 😑.
