This hotel was absolutely disgusting. As we entered the hotel a strong smell of damp was everywhere. When we were given the keys to our room it looked as if no one had even bothered to make it up for us. The duvet was screwed into a ball on the bed with no sheet covered in yellow stains. The runner that is supposed to be on the end of the bed was hanging out of our windows that were both open. Our pillows were thrown over two different chairs. The bathroom was full of yellow and brown stains. Hairs were around our toilet. The light and flush both did not hardly work. Also this room was freezing including the reception to the hotel. The place was disgusting. We checked in and immediately checked back out on Friday the 22nd of September: This place does not even deserve 1 star.

I can't give a zero, so it's a 1, which is being generous! Without doubt, the worst hotel I've stayed in still trying to figure out what the original colour of the carpets. Also, tv in our room was being held up with a spoon. Stayed there on Saturday 16th September, checked in at 4 o'clock, and checked out at around 8 on the 16th of September I'm not even going to try and get a refund. I have to say the receptionist was really pleasant and apologetic.

WARNING!! If you are parking your car here beware! We rented a car from enterprise and the car was stripped and broken into over night. Apparently happens regularly every month and nothing is done about it. No warning either from staff. Scum bags around the area are targeting the car park because the police are clearly not doing anything about it. Wish someone warned us so we would have avoided. Hopefully this post helps someone avoid this place.

A fairly decent hotel. Decent room. Good price too. For a budget friendly hotel, I had a fairly pleasant stay here. I got a nice view of the planes taking off from my room which was nice. I was a lil bit disappointed in my recent visit where my room door, made a very loud screeching noise whenever I want to leave the room and go back into the room which was not unpleasant at all. In addition, the moment I got into my room, I heard a bleep every minute coming from the smoke detector. It was very annoying and got me frustrated. Went to the reception to make a complaint about it and the receptionist, young worker forgot the name, was apologetic and understanding of the situation where all of the rooms were having that same issue due to a fault or something with the smoke detectors. Unfortunately, regarding the loud noise of the door, I was unable to move rooms. But I appreciated their friendly customer service and as mentioned, understanding and apologetic. In the bathroom though, there were a few small hairs which disappointed me a bit. I would give this hotel another chance as the location is convenient to get to and from the city centre. Not too far from the airport. Customer...

We stayed at Travelodge Castle Bromwich for 3 nights 08th - 11th April 2023. The room was Clean, Warm and Comfortable. However it was looking tired and in need of some work, Carpets are faded and in need of replacement, paint work was in need of refreshing, bathroom door did not close correctly (it only needs to be planed and refitted) House keeping was non existent. Even after putting request on door for towels, emptying of bins and toilet rolls nothing was done. (even after reporting it) I had to go to reception to be provided with needed items. Having said this, Reception staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I am aware that this is a budget hotel, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Update.... Returned this week (12th May 2025) for a 3 night stay. Improvements have definitely been made. Rooms have been decorated, and re-carpeted. Staff friendly and attentive. Well done Travelodge. I will return and I am very happy...

Small hotel located right next to a Toby Carvery. But.... they don't have an agreement with them so there is no cooked breakfast. Normally nor a problem but my stay was booked by my company which included breakfast. Which came in a box... Consisting of a small plastic container with Kellogg' s Corn Flakes, small carton of milk, tiny muffin and small carton of orange juice for which you pay the princely sum of £5.50. Total value of around £3.50 So really overpriced.

The room is comfy enough but the chairs are really uncomfortable. So if you are stuck on your own in a far flung location don't expect to be comfy at night if you have to work in your room.

The property looks modern enough in the outside but the rooms are tired.

The saving grace is the staff. Very helpful and friendly. The manager was very efficient and friendly at check in.

Would I stay here again? Probably not if there's somewhere...
