Subway — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

Here's my update 3 years on... The staff weren't welcoming and all appeared non engaging. Upon ordering my sandwich the bread was savagely cut, didn't look as clean as other branches close by. Even the final cut in half wasn't done properly either. However that's said, the Furious Chicken tasted banging. Would I change the star rating...No not at this stage, I think it's a fair rating.

So mixed feelings about this place. To me each Subway I've been to there's always a slight difference. Today my wife ordered the sandwiches (4 in all). The first the were all meat where the staff member didn't need to change their gloves, however the final sandwich was a vegetarian one. The staff member being told this squished the chicken and bacon down on the sandwich and the picked up the bread that was ordered for the vegetarian one. On being told of the error the staff member was clear aggrieved by this and changed her gloves, putting the bread to the side. The sandwich was made where we can only assume that the bread left aside could be used for another vegetarian following the meat being touched. The biggest issue is cross contamination or the beliefs of a vegetarian.

For my sandwich, although toasted didn't taste warm at all and felt a bit of a let down. The cold sandwiches were ok.

Other than the key issue, staff service was ok and friendly. Hopefully some learning can be...

Came here today just want to warn everyone who decides to visit please do not go. There are thousands of other Subway around the UK which are wonderful but not this one. The staff were very very rude and racist this happened the second time. Last time i came which was around 2 weeks ago a young lady with bright hair was completely ignoring my order and chatting away with another worker. When i corrected her by saying i didn't want any cheese in it she rolls her eyes. I understand it is busy however i was being completely polite with her. Today when i came the same thing happened with another worker, who is hiring these people? I asked for a veggie delite and they put in chicken or must have mixed up my sandwich with the person in front and i remembered last times experience so i decide not go back. Also cookie was very very dry. This Subway is awful I won't be visiting here ever again. The Starbuck seems like a better option than this at least the people working were respectful to customers. Hope everyone else who visits there...

My four year old could make a better sub.. The staff's customer service skills appear to have been outsourced to cruella deville if she had to get a weekend job . ordered a veggie meal, hoping for a meat-free experience. Instead, I got a front-row seat to a cross-contamination nightmare!

They were handling bacon and turkey like they were auditioning for a meat-juggling act, then proceeded to give my sub the 'meaty finger treatment.' I'm pretty sure my lettuce is now a distant relative of a turkey leg.

And speaking of priorities, apparently, the highlight of their day was snapping photos and videos of the young lady at the potato stand, is she a celebrity or something? My sandwich? Just a minor distraction, I guess.

I'm not sure if they thought the bacon grease would add extra 'flavor' to my veggies, or if they were just trying to give me a mystery meat juice experience. Either way, I'll be taking taking my wife's cravings elsewhere. Maybe somewhere where the gloves are changed more often than the staff's...
