This is a handy place to stop it's just off the M5 junction 28 it's so handy for a drink and a bite to eat, rather than get ripped off at the motorway services and pay very high prices. The food is lovely and cooked fresh to order and as you will see by my photos you get a really good portion, the landlady and her lovely young waitress made you fell very welcome.we will have to try their Sunday carvery have heard it’s very nice............. Popped in here again for the Sunday carvery, well what can I say it was brilliant value for the money,They do three meals, small, standard and large,we both opted for the standard meals of which you can have two types of meat if you wish. There were three meats on offer,Beef,Turkey and Pork, then help your self to as much vegetables as you like........I can highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.....👍

As soon as you arrive into this small...but darling town...this pub is situated on the left hand side. Cant be missed. I love the food here and each meal has been prepared amazingly by the chef. Never had a single problem. they really do look after their ales and they change the variety and choice often...but not too often. There is a very welcoming lady here who attends above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Doesnt matter if your feeling down she makes life seem better. I come here as often as i can. They also do live music which ive dated in my diary as ive been told the atmosphere is really amazing. My small meal for 1 but exquisite xx

We booked this place for a family meetup. Lunch time on a Tuesday. Pub was empty which was good. We needed wheelchair access so they gave us a table close to the door with good access. Kids ordered coke - they were flat and sickly sweet. I had water which was vile. As a group we ordered a variety of food. I ordered a shared platter for me and my daughter. It cost £16. What a joke. We got a handful of chips, 2 small garlic bread, 3 wings( in a shared platter for 2), 3 burnt onion rings and a small bowl of crisps. Utterly disgusting. Hardly any food and what we got was burnt. Tried some of the margarita pizza, it was vile. Cheap nasty cheese. No where near as good as Weatherspoons margarita pizza. Tried some of the burger. The bun was stale and the burger had a weird tinge to it. I never knew a burger could taste so bad. Just remind you all this food came at a premium price. I cannot stress highly enough how much you should avoid this place. Overpriced, nasty...

Sadly we will not be coming here again, I didn't like the way a member of staff was talking to a customer on the phone, we were taken to a table and told someone would be over to take our drinks order, we waited almost 20 minutes and no one came over. I appreciate at busy times these things happen, but the restaurant wasn't even half full, and what I found more frustrating is that customers that were just sitting down were being served straight away by the same waitress that sat us down and she walked past us on every occasion as if we were not there. My wife and I got up and left and not one member of staff asked if there was a problem. Sadly in the hospitality business when 500 hundred pubs are closing each day you need to be on the ball and put every customer first. Such a shame because I believe the pub is under new management, let's hope they improve if they wish...
